Madison Bumgarner Sees Draft Value Plummet Due To Injury
7 years agoAfter suffering a Grade 2 shoulder sprain and bruised ribs in a dirt bike accident, which caused Madison Bumgarner to miss around three months in 2017, the left-hander will open the season on the disabled list once again in 2018. Bumgarner was struck by a line drive in his last Spring Training start and will likely not pitch until June, as he looks to rehab from a fractured left wrist. In 13 starts following his injury last season, Bumgarner posted a 3.43 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 7.8 K/9. . The Giants offense and bullpen struggled last year, which could affect his wins and losses, but the other numbers should certainly be there. Bumgarner should put up similar numbers as he did in 2017, but would still be a nice stash in leagues that offer disabled list slots.
