Jahan Dotson 2022 NFL Player Outlook: Flying under the Radar
2 years agoWashington Commanders rookie wide receiver Jahan Dotson has impressed coaches in camp. "Very precise route runner, excellent hands, very sharp, very smart young man, hard worker," Head Coach Ron Rivera recently told ESPN's, Jeremy Fowler. With wide receiver, Terry McLaurin prepared to hold out until he receives a new contract, the 16th overall pick and fifth WR off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft could be immediately thrust into the No. 1 role. While the ties to quarterback Carson Wentz have many in the fantasy community afraid of Washington pass catchers, Dotson is a polished prospect with arguably the best hands in his class. Dotson wrapped up his senior season at PSU with 91 receptions for 1182 yards (13.0 YPC) and 12 TDs while also featuring a 30% target share. His ADP as the number 55 to 60 WR off the board could be a steal in fantasy drafts this summer. Even if McLaurin should return, Dotson is likely the No. 2 option in the Commanders' offense.
