Lucas Giolito 2019 Outlook: Former Stud Prospect Needs Bounce-Back
6 years agoLucas Giolito has long been considered one of the top pitching prospects in the White Sox organization, and after a very promising 45 innings in 2017 he was dreadful in 2018. His 6.13 ERA was among the absolute worst in baseball, and he ended the season with an ERA over 9.00 in September. The White Sox will give him one last chance to establish himself this year, but if he gets off to a slow start he may not find himself in the rotation for long. Giolito is a last-round dart throw at best heading into the season.
