Dwayne Haskins Jr. 2020 Outlook: Needs To Improve
5 years agoWashington Redskins second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. is coming off a tough rookie campaign where he threw just seven touchdowns across seven starts. Haskins simply wasn't ready for action in 2019, and that was very evident while watching him complete only 12 of his first 22 passes for 140 yards, zero touchdowns, and a whopping four interceptions across his first two games. To Haskins' credit, he did settle down as he gained more experience, but his best game came against the Eagles in Week 15, where he went 19-of-28 for 261 yards and two touchdowns, which still only made him QB-10 on the week. Haskins has an ADP of 230, and he's currently being drafted as the 33rd quarterback off the board behind guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Nick Foles, Jarrett Stidham, and Tyrod Taylor. Haskins has work to do on his lower body mechanics and decision making, but even if he shows improvement in that regard, his ceiling is capped for fantasy purposes because he doesn't really run. At this time, Haskins should only be owned in the deepest re-draft leagues and is no more than a QB-2 in dynasty formats.
