Chance Sisco Has Chance To Help Fantasy Owners In 2018
7 years agoWith the Baltimore Orioles letting Welington Castillo leave to sign with the Chicago White Sox this offseason, it paves the way for their once prized prospect catcher Chance Sisco to receive at-bats. Sisco has been a top-100 prospect as recently as 2017 and provides, good upside. He will have competition with Caleb Joseph for everyday at-bats, but if his minor league career batting average of .311 and OPS of .815 translate to the big league level, he should be able to make an impact. He is not a power hitter, but will hit in hitter friendly Camden Yards and hit two home runs in 18 at-bats during his brief appearance with the big league club in 2017. Sisco may not make an immediate impact right away, but depending how spring training plays out, he is worth looking at in AL-only and leagues that require two catchers.
