Cedric Tillman 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Potential Contested Catch Receiver For Watson
2 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman was selected with the team's first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, coming off the board at No. 74 overall. His draft capital suggests he'll have a chance to play right away, but he won't be guaranteed a significant role. Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore are locked into starting roles in the Deshaun Watson-led offense, but Tillman could beat out Donovan Peoples-Jones to be the primary X-receiver and contested catch guy. All that said, Tillman's range of outcomes is wide. At very least, he should be the No. 4 WR for Cleveland in 2023 and he could see plenty of red zone targets given his 6'3", 215-pound frame. He doesn't project to be a huge volume receiver, but he could be a weapon in the intermediate and deep passing game. The Tennessee product is being draft outside the top 90 wide receivers, so in deep leagues, he could be worth a flyer.
