Should I start Kendrick Bourne, Xavier Worthy, Tre Tucker for Week 6? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, Kansas City Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (ankle/shoulder), and Las Vegas Raiders wideout Tre Tucker are three players that many people might be considering starting in their flex spots or in deeper leagues.
This season, each has had at least one good game, with Bourne most recently having a big day in Week 5 and Tucker exploding for 40.9 PPR fantasy points in Week 3 before putting up under 5.0 the next game. Worthy's best contest saw him rack up 17.1.
Given that Worthy will be playing through a torn labrum all season, and Tucker and Bourne aren't in the top-3 wideouts on their teams depth charts, each can seem like a risky start. But which are worth starting in Week 6?

Should I Start Kendrick Bourne for Fantasy Football?
Bourne might be in position to have another nice game. The major driver of his production was injuries. 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) remains on injured reserve, and their top WR, Brandon Aiyuk (knee) isn't set to return for multiple weeks.
In addition, WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) didn't practice on Wednesday, and reports indicate that he won't play in Week 6. Jauan Jennings (ankle/ribs) is dealing with multiple aliments, and didn't practice on Wednesday, and it's unclear if he'll play on Sunday. He should have a limited practice on Thursday.

The 49ers pass-catching corps is absolutely decimated by injuries right now, and Bourne is likely to see plenty of target volume against the Atlanta Falcons. That makes him a solid player to start. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, despite being partially (or perhaps mostly) responsible for his team's constant rash of injuries, is a great game-planner.
San Francisco had no business being successful on offense in Week 5, yet without their starting quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) they beat the Los Angeles Rams. So Bourne should be started in flex spots in PPR leagues in Week 6.
Should I Start Xavier Worthy for Fantasy Football?
Worthy is currently dealing with ankle and shoulder injuries. He didn't practice on Thursday. Be sure to stay updated on his injury status -- he might not play in Week 6. The analysis below will obviously only apply if he's able to suit up.
Worthy scored 11.1 PPR fantasy points in Week 5. He was disappointingly not very productive -- though he was targeted nine times and caught six passes, he only gained 42 yards. He was outpaced by both tight end Travis Kelce and fellow WR Tyquan Thornton on the ground.
It's unclear if the shoulder injury is affecting him heavily, but he'll play all season with a fully torn labrum, so it's hard to imagine it's not slowing him down at least a little bit. And while he's viewed as a deep threat, he hasn't been one so far -- he had just 120 yards on deep passes last season.
Remember when we all thought Xavier Worthy would be a deep threat...?

He and quarterback Patrick Mahomes II failed to connect numerous times on deep downfield throws. While Mahomes was mostly blamed for these problems, and stats showed him as being one of the worst downfield passers in the NFL, things have been a bit better this year -- with Thornton.
The threat of the deep pass still forces defenses to respect his speed, though. He's not exactly a great route-runner, but the acceleration and speed do make him a useful gadget player. Perhaps he'll develop his game further. He's a decent start, and Chiefs WR1 Rashee Rice is still suspended, so Worthy should be fine for now.
Should I Start Tre Tucker for Fantasy Football?
Tucker is a player that's hard to trust in fantasy. It's not entirely his fault, though. For Week 6, he actually does carry some flex appeal, because Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (knee) is unlikely to play. That means he'll primarily compete with WR Jakobi Meyers for routes and targets.
Tucker has maintained a high snap percentage through all his contests, never dipping below 88 percent. He's pretty much always on the field, but the presence of Bowers as a target hog wasn't great for his production. That could improve slightly until Bowers returns.

Tucker has shown flashes, and has a high passer rating when he's targeted, though this could be at least slightly skewed by the obvious fluke game against the Commanders. He's still a risky start for now, largely because his quarterback, Geno Smith, has been playing terribly this season. Smith has been a turnover machine.
Outside of very deep leagues, it's hard to trust Tucker right now.
