John's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 7 of 2025. His fantasy outlooks for D'Andre Swift, Cam Skattebo, Bam Knight.
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift, New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo, and Arizona Cardinals tailback Bam Knight will all be the starting RBs for their team's this Sunday.
Swift has been the starter all season, so that's not much of a surprise, and Skattebo had a huge game in Week 6, so it's expected that he'd start. But Knight wasn't the starter in Week 5 before being "promoted" to the starting position.
Regardless, the RB1 for each team is often a very important piece to many fantasy football teams, so which of these guys should you start in Week 7? Let's dive in!

D'Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears
Week 6 stats: 14 carries, 108 yards, two catches, 67 yards, one touchdown, 25.5 PPR fantasy points
Swift (groin) is currently dealing with a groin injury and has logged limited practices as a result. But he's expected to play in Week 7, and has described the injury as simply something minor. It's not too much of a concern for his availability.
He had a big game in Week 6, racking up massive rushing numbers and being very effective with the ball in his hands. He was the engine that carried the Bears offense -- or rather, in conjunction with the blocking of the offensive line, he was. Chicago's OL unit is one of the NFL's best.

The short analysis of Swift is that he's a great athlete but bounces runs outside far too often and makes poor decisions at times. With the blocking working as effectively as it was in Week 6, though, he often had huge holes to run through.
The Washington Commanders, who they faced last week, did a very poor job tackling, and as a result, he was able to rip off multiple big plays. This week, the Bears will face a tougher defensive test against the New Orleans Saints.
Despite his flaws, he's playing on a team with a great offensive line and great offensive-minded head coach, is getting some use as a pass-catcher, and has big-play ability when the blocks are good. So he's a start. The RB position isn't very deep talent-wise for fantasy football. It would make little sense to bench him.
Cam Skattebo, RB, New York Giants
Week 6 stats: 19 carries, 98 yards, three touchdowns, two catches, 12 yards, 31.0 PPR fantasy points
Skattebo's performance in Week 6 likely entrenched him as the starting RB pretty well. His combination of size, power, contact balance, and elusiveness are among the NFL's best already, and he's just a rookie. He easily dusts backup RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. in all those categories.
Tracy returned last week after dealing with a shoulder injury and gained just six yards on four carries. While he might have been limited due to his aliment, it's clear who the more talented back is, and it's not Tracy. So we should probably expect Skattebo to handle plenty of backfield work in Week 7.

The Denver Broncos defense probably won't be quite as vulnerable as the Eagles were last week. They looked like they'd given up once they fell behind against the Giants. The Broncos actually aren't very strong against the run, though -- they allow an above-average amount of schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing running backs.
They allow a below-average amount of points from rushing yards, but an above average for receptions and receiving yards, and Skattebo was targeted nine times in his past two games, so perhaps they'll get him the ball plenty through the air. He's a start for sure.
Bam Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Week 6 stats: 11 carries, 34 yards, one touchdown, one catch, 20 yards
Knight's fantasy performance in Week 6 was saved by a touchdown run, but he split work basically evenly with Michael Carter, who got the start in Week 5. Both are likely to have an even split of the workload, and with them being at best the third and fourth-best RBs on their team, there might not be much upside here.
The Cardinals will play against the Green Bay Packers, so it's not like they're going against a joke of an opponent. Last week, they faced the Indianapolis Colts, and neither back eclipsed four yards per carry. Their starting quarterback, Kyler Murray (foot) is questionable to play.

You're basically relying on a TD to save his fantasy day again. That's a risky prospect. In this split backfield on a bad offense, it's probably better to start Knight only in very deep leagues and leave him on the bench otherwise.
