San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox endured a brutal shooting night in Saturday's 94-90 Game 5 loss to the New York Knicks, scoring seven points on 3-for-15 from the field. He added five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer, but he and fellow starter Stephon Castle combined to shoot 4-for-25 as the Spurs fell 4-1 in the Finals. Rookie Dylan Harper outplayed both off the bench with a team-high 25 points, fueling calls to rework San Antonio's backcourt. That is the fantasy concern for next season: Fox remains an elite scorer and playmaker with steals upside, but his cold Finals and the fast-rising Harper and Castle cloud his usage and even his hold on a starting role, all with his four-year max extension set to begin in 2026-27. His talent keeps the floor high, yet the situation is suddenly worth monitoring.--Brian Dailisan

San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper finished Saturday's 94-90 Game 5 loss to the New York Knicks with a team-high 25 points, five rebounds, four assists, one block, and two three-pointers. The rookie shot 10-for-19 from the field and 3-for-5 at the line, giving San Antonio a much-needed offensive lift as its season ended in the NBA Finals. Harper also scored 21 points in Game 4, so he closed the series with back-to-back strong scoring efforts. After averaging 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists during the regular season, his postseason growth should put him on fantasy radars entering his second year.--Brian Dailisan

San Antonio Spurs forward/center Victor Wembanyama swatted five shots and pulled down 14 rebounds in Saturday's series-ending 94-90 Game 5 loss to the New York Knicks, anchoring the defense even as his offense sputtered. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year scored 19 points on 7-for-19 shooting, adding 4-for-5 at the line, two assists, and one 3-pointer, but the Spurs fell 4-1 in the Finals. The off shooting night was a footnote to a historic first postseason in which the 22-year-old set the single-game playoff blocks record with 12 and rewrote San Antonio's defensive ledger. Wembanyama remains the dynasty crown jewel regardless of the result: a generational source of blocks, rebounds, scoring, and threes whose ceiling is unmatched, and at 22 in his first Finals, his arrow only points up.--Brian Dailisan

New York Knicks forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns managed just two points on 1-for-7 shooting in Saturday's 94-90 Game 5 win over the San Antonio Spurs, the clincher in New York's first championship since 1973. Foul trouble defined his night, as Towns fouled out with six personals, limiting the All-Star to 23 minutes. He still grabbed 10 rebounds and chipped in one assist, three steals, and one block, while Jalen Brunson carried the scoring with 45. The quiet finish caps an otherwise strong Finals in which Towns posted three double-doubles. For fantasy managers, this is a one-game outlier, not a red flag: his rebounding, scoring, and floor-spacing keep him an elite fantasy big, and a looming Knicks extension should lock in his role for years.--Brian Dailisan

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby tallied 11 points, eight rebounds, three steals, one block, and one three-pointer in Saturday's 94-90 Game 5 win over the San Antonio Spurs. The 28-year-old struggled offensively, shooting 3-for-11 from the field and 4-for-6 at the line, but he still chipped in enough defensive production to help New York clinch the title. This was a quiet close after Anunoby scored 33 points in Game 4 and 28 in Game 3. Across 17 postseason games, he averaged 20.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks, making his two-way profile the biggest fantasy takeaway heading into next season.--Brian Dailisan

New York Knicks guard/forward Mikal Bridges notched 14 points, two rebounds, four assists, one block, and three three-pointers in Saturday's 94-90 Game 5 win over the San Antonio Spurs. The 29-year-old went 5-for-10 from the field and gave New York another efficient complementary line while Jalen Brunson carried the offense. Bridges averaged 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists during the regular season, so this was a fitting closeout snapshot of his fantasy profile: useful scoring, threes, defensive stats, and strong percentages without needing heavy usage. His role should remain steady as a multi-category piece for next season.--Brian Dailisan

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson powered the franchise to its first championship since 1973, pouring in 45 points in Saturday's 94-90 Game 5 win over the San Antonio Spurs. The Finals MVP shot 14-for-27 from the field and 13-for-15 at the line, adding four 3-pointers, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals while scoring 15 of his points in the fourth quarter to close out a 4-1 series. His 45 points set a Knicks Finals record, and he joined Willis Reed as the only New York player to claim the Bill Russell Trophy. Brunson saved his best for a series in which he had struggled to shoot, finishing as the unanimous choice of all 11 voters. For dynasty managers, he enters next season as a rock-solid early-round lock, with elite scoring volume and free-throw production anchoring his floor.--Brian Dailisan

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (knee) is reportedly not available right now. According to Marc Stein, the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves have reached out about the availability of Irving. As of this moment, the Mavs are content with keeping the 34-year-old veteran heading into next season. Irving sat out all this past season while recovering from a torn left ACL. The veteran guard is expected to be fully healthy at the beginning of next season. Irving is owed $39.5 million for the upcoming season and has a player option for $42.4 million for the 2027 campaign. The Mavs are hopeful that Irving can be a key contributor, but his fantasy value could take a hit coming off major knee surgery.--Andy Webb

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James might not be back with the organization next season. Tim Bontemps of ESPN believes there's a legitimate chance that James is not back with the team next season. The Lakers are focused on building around Luka Doncic, which likely includes bringing back guard Austin Reaves. The Lakers will likely need to pay a hefty price in free agency to bring back Reaves this summer. With that being said, James might be forced to take a pay cut to stay with the Lakers or potentially head elsewhere. According to his agent, James has around 10-12 teams that would be interested in signing him. The 41-year-old can still be a reliable contributor, but his overall ceiling is going to take a hit due to age regression. His fantasy value will be dependent on where he ends up signing this offseason.--Andy Webb

Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves could be headed elsewhere soon. According to Dan Woike, the Brooklyn Nets are prepared to offer Reaves a max contract this summer. The Lakers have viewed re-signing Reaves as a priority, but it's likely going to cost them a hefty amount of money. The Nets are reportedly willing to offer Reaves around $178.5 million over four years. The Lakers could offer Reaves a fifth year, but it's unclear if they want to match that kind of money. The status of LeBron James is also something that the Lakers need to pay attention to. Adding a player such as Reaves to the mix could help speed up the Nets' rebuilding process. The Nets have a handful of young guards, but none stand out as true cornerstone pieces right now. A move to the Nets would likely benefit Reaves as the primary focal point of an offense.--Andy Webb

San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet (illness) is listed as questionable ahead of Saturday's Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks. Kornet only played four minutes during Wednesday's loss. It's unclear if that was the plan or if Kornet was limited in that contest because of this illness. If he remains out on Saturday, Carter Bryant would likely be in line for extra playing time. Victor Wembanyama figures to play over 40 minutes in what is an elimination game for the Spurs. Kornet probably wouldn't see much action on the court even if he's cleared to play. The Spurs will lean heavily on Wembanyama as they attempt to battle back from a 3-1 deficit.--Andy Webb

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (finger) has been cleared to play ahead of Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Robinson returned to the injury report ahead of this contest, but he will be available to play. The big man suffered a broken pinky finger during the Eastern Conference Finals. He has looked fine during this series, but is only logging in minutes in the teens right now. He snagged five rebounds across 13 minutes during the epic Game 4 comeback. Robinson will continue being the primary backup center as the Knicks look to close out this series.--Andy Webb

Free agent guard Terry Rozier pleaded not guilty to newly added sports bribery and honest services wire fraud conspiracy charges, leaving him with not-guilty pleas to all four counts in the federal gambling case, The Athletic's Mike Vorkunov reports. A judge set his trial for Feb. 8, 2027. Prosecutors allege Rozier accepted a bribe to exit a March 23, 2023, game early while with the Hornets, logging just over nine minutes and finishing with five points, four rebounds, and two assists against the Pelicans after averaging 21.1 points per game that season. The NBA placed him on indefinite leave following his October 2025 arrest, and the Heat waived him in April 2026. Rozier's attorney is seeking changes to his release conditions that he argues are hindering a potential NBA return. From a fantasy perspective, Rozier is undraftable in redraft and a roster cut in all but the deepest dynasty formats until his status resolves.--Brian Dailisan

The Sacramento Kings will work out Illinois guard Keaton Wagler next week, Yahoo Sports' Kevin O'Connor reports. The visit lines up with Sacramento's need for a lead guard and its No. 7 pick, a range Wagler is expected to land in after ESPN and The Athletic slotted the consensus All-American around No. 5. The 6-foot-6 combo guard averaged 17.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.2 assists on strong efficiency while powering Illinois to its first Final Four in 21 years. For dynasty and rookie-draft managers, Wagler profiles as a high-floor bet: his shooting, feel, and playmaking should earn early minutes wherever he lands, with comparisons ranging from Ty Jerome to CJ McCollum. A thin frame and lack of burst cap the ceiling, but a guard-needy Sacramento would hand him a clear runway to production.--Brian Dailisan

San Antonio Spurs forward/center Victor Wembanyama is one flagrant foul point away from an automatic suspension after receiving a Flagrant 1 in Wednesday's 107-106 Game 4 NBA Finals loss to the New York Knicks, according to ESPN's Michael C. Wright. The 22-year-old now has three flagrant points this postseason, putting his Game 5 discipline risk under the spotlight with San Antonio trailing 3-1. Wembanyama still delivered 24 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, and three blocks in 43 minutes, but he shot 9-for-25 from the field and 4-for-7 at the line. Fantasy managers should still expect a massive workload in the elimination game, although one more dangerous-play ruling could abruptly end his postseason availability.--Brian Dailisan
