Michael Pittman Jr. 2023 Outlook: Highest Ceiling Of Career
2 years agoEntering his fourth NFL season, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is coming off of a season where he underperformed expectations. He grabbed 99 receptions for 925 yards and four touchdowns, but his performance was more of a tale of poor quarterback play than anything else. This season, Pittman will have rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson throwing the ball to him and Gardner Minshew II in waiting should Richardson go down with an injury or perform poorly. Anybody is better than the combination of a 37-year-old Matt Ryan and Sam Ehlinger, and Richardson offers a big arm with the ability to throw contested passes which Pittman specializes in. He should be the alpha receiver of the Indianapolis offense once again this season and could be a sneaky WR2 option for 2023.
