Kalif Raymond 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Sporadic Usage On Tap In Detroit
6 months agoFor Kalif Raymond, there is reason for optimism in 2024 despite his stock pushing downward in 2023. Last season's marks fell behind his 2022 where he ran routes on 51% of dropbacks and put up 47 receptions and 616 receiving yards on 64 targets. After compiling only 43 targets in 2023 for 35 catches and 489 yards plus a touchdown, Raymond was lost in the shuffle as players like Josh Reynolds and rookie tight end Sam LaPorta ascended. For 2024, Josh Reynolds is off to Denver, and with no wide receivers drafted by the Lions, it's largely the same core group as last season. Penciled in as a starting outside wide receiver with Jameson Williams, Raymond will run many routes but finds himself rather low in the pecking order with Amon-Ra St. Brown, LaPorta, and Williams, as well as Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. Raymond is outside RotoBaller’s top 300 overall ranks in half-PPR with a WR166 ADP, so there's no need to select him in your drafts. He could have spot-start fantasy value if an injury or two pops up during the season.
