Jermaine Kearse 2018 Outlook- Will He See Enough Targets For Another WR3 Season?
6 years agoLate round values can be the key to fantasy championships. We all love to nail that first round stud that will carry our team all season, but the role players that offer good value are the unsung heroes we don’t recognize. Jermaine Kearse was one of those guys last season. He was lost amongst the Robby Anderson breakout campaign but very quietly turned in the WR26 season in PPR leagues. A career high in receiving yards and receptions made him a viable starting option each week.
Kearse is also reliable when it comes to getting on the field. He has played all 16 games the last two seasons and at least 15 games each year since 2013. The Jets may end up with one of the more underrated receiving corps in 2018. Qunicy Enunwa is expected back and will play in the slot with Anderson and Kearse outside. The factor is whether Anderson will be suspended or not. If he is, Kearse could very well be a lock as WR3 again. If not, Kearse may be the odd man as either Josh McCown or Josh Darnold will look to their other options. Kearse’s upside in 2018 is probably a weekly flex play.
