Top Hitter Streamers and Starts - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 22 (August 24 -August 30)

Dominic Canzone - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Dan's top hitter streamers and starts as fantasy baseball waiver wire adds for Week 22 of 2026 (August 24 - August 30). He analyzes streamers with favorable matchups, schedules.

For most fantasy baseball managers in head-to-head formats, these are the final few weeks of the regular season before the playoffs start. And for those in Yahoo roto leagues, we are officially 35 days out from the end of the year! There's no time to waste, and if you need some extra bats for the stretch run - I got your back!

My weekly hitters, streamers, fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with favorable matchups who can be considered for waiver wire pickups or streamers ahead of Sunday night's waiver wire runs in leagues with weekly transactions. Because of format changes to Yahoo leagues this year, the players featured in this article are rostered in 30% or fewer leagues on Yahoo.

You can also check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content here at RotoBaller. Now, let's see which hitters we should consider grabbing off the wire as we roll into Week 22 of the fantasy baseball season!

Week 22 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

I'll recommend only players who are rostered in 30 percent or fewer leagues, and all roster percentages are from Yahoo!

Travis Bazzana, 2B - CLE (25%)

It's been an up-and-down rookie campaign for Bazzana, but he's still a toolsy young hitter with upside, and he reminded us of it yesterday with a 4-5 day at the plate with two runs scored, three RBI, and a steal. The Guardians head to L.A. to face the Angels after they leave Coors this weekend, so expect some good matchups for Bazzana and other Cleveland hitters as the Angels pitching staff is one of the worst in the American League.

Griffin Conine, OF - MIA (23%)

The lefty slugger has four home runs over the last two weeks, adding another this week during Miami's series in Philly.

His power against RHP is substantial, and he's penciled in as the cleanup hitter against righties the rest of the way. There's really no reason that he should be this widely available!

Dominic Canzone, OF - SEA (20%)

Canzone has surely slowed down from his early-season pace. But while the home runs have dried up, he's been on a nice run in terms of batting average and run production. The Mariners' lefty is hitting .309 over the last two weeks with seven RBI and continues to play on an everyday basis, even against LHP.

Jeff McNeil, 1B/2B/OF - ATH (19%)

Hey, we nailed this pick last week! The veteran McNeil has been on fire for the Athletics, hitting .348 over the last two weeks with two home runs, eight RBI, and even two stolen bases.

He's a must-add this week in my opinion, as he should continue to hit in the two-hole for the Athletics and they play all six games at home in the incredibly hitter-friendly (especially for LHH) Sutter Health Park.

Rafael Flores Jr., 1B/C - PIT (17%)

Did the Pirates find another young power-hitting prospect? Flores Jr. has popped off for five home runs in the last eight games, including two multi-homer games.

He's not guaranteed a spot in the lineup every day, but if he keeps hitting, then the Pirates don't have much choice but to roll him out there. The catcher eligibility (his natural position) is a nice bonus here.

Spencer Jones, OF - NYY (16%)

Jones got moved down in the batting order recently, but it might have done the trick as he's homered from the 7-hole in back-to-back games.

He's picked up three steals over the last two weeks, too. His combination of power and speed is something to get excited about if he simply makes contact more often (still striking out 36% of the time).

Bryce Eldridge, 1B - SFG (14%)

The Giants lineup is pretty bad right now, but Eldridge is a very good young hitter who I still believe in. He's hitting third or fourth most days, and most importantly, he's in the lineup against both righties and lefties.

The surface stats don't scream "must add," but the Statcast data continues to show that he's hitting the ball hard (.462 xSLG, .351 xwOBA) and I'm interested in holding him (or adding him) for a big finish down the stretch.

Javier Sanoja, 2B/3B/SS/OF - MIA (13%)

We saw Sanoja get hot like this earlier this summer, and now he's up to it again. He's hitting .342 with 11 RBI and five runs scored over the last two weeks and offers some important versatility with eligibility at four positions.

Tim Tawa, 1B/2B/OF -  ARI (10%)

Speaking of multi-position eligibility, Tawa stays on my list this week. He's not putting up flashy stats, by any means, but he had several multi-hit games again this week and another stolen base.

Henry Bolte, OF - ATH (9%)

If you can't land Jeff McNeil this week, then you should absolutely look to snag Bolte (or heck, maybe both!) Bolte is leading off for the Athletics and has formed a very potent 1-2 punch with McNeil atop their lineup.

He's hitting .314 over the last two weeks with eight runs scored and added his 14th steal of the season. He's emerging as a legitimate contact hitter and should benefit from the elite hitting environment on the upcoming homestand.

Jared Young, 1B/OF - NYM (7%)

I was on Young last week, and he's continued to hit for a solid average. He's hitting .381 over the last two weeks, but isn't a source of power, so if you are looking for home runs you probably want to look elsewhere.

Joey Ortiz, 3B/SS - MIL (7%)

Ortiz is at it again, hitting .314 over the last two weeks with two home runs, nine RBI, and nine runs scored. He has shortstop eligibility and has some nice pop in his bat for a middle-infielder.

Michael Massey, 2B/OF - KC (7%)

Speaking of some "nice pop in his bat," Massey now has 11 home runs this year in just 338 at-bats. He had a really nice week, hitting .429 with five runs scored and makes for another solid option at second base, a relatively weak position.

If you miss out on Jeff McNeil, Massey is a solid consolation prize.

Dylan Beavers, OF - BAL (1%)

Don't look now, but Beaves has four home runs and 10 RBI over the last two weeks!

He homered in three straight games this week, and just missed another last night as he drove in the game-winning run. He's certainly worth a look if you are in a deep league!

Good luck this week, and choose those streaming options wisely! As always, thanks for making RotoBaller your choice for fantasy baseball content all season long!
