Should I Start Calvin Ridley for Fantasy Football?
Calvin Ridley was one of the few bright prospects in the Tennessee offense last season and saw his fantasy stock increase during the offseason after the Titans selected Cam Ward with the first overall pick. However, through the opening four games, Ridley was unable to find much success. During this four-game stretch, Ridley caught just 10 of his 24 targets for a mere 141 yards.
He averaged 6.0 PPR points per game and was viewed as a low-end FLEX play heading into Week 5. However, Ridley was able to enjoy a much-needed bounce-back last weekend during the victory over the Cardinals. In this contest, Ridley led the way, bringing in five of his 10 targets for 131 yards.
While he still struggles to connect with Ward consistently, he was able to flash much higher upside, which is an excellent sign heading into Week 6.
This weekend, Ridley has an elite matchup to stay hot, facing the Las Vegas Raiders, who have allowed the fourth-most PPR points to opposing WRs this season. Given his strong showing last Sunday, Ridley arrives as a high-end FLEX value in this Week 6 tilt. He is safe to start in all PPR leagues as a WR3/FLEX play, given his high target share.

Should I Start Chris Olave for Fantasy Football?
The 25-year-old battled numerous concussions last season, which caused him to appear in only eight games. During this brief stretch, Olave struggled to find his footing as he caught only 32 passes for 400 yards. However, through the first five games of the 2025 campaign, Olave has nearly surpassed those totals, totaling 33 receptions for 244 yards and a touchdown.
Through five games, Olave has remained the clear No. 1 option for Spencer Rattler. In fact, Olave has seen nearly all the targets in the sport and is averaging 10.6 targets per game. Unfortunately, Olave has been unable to connect on most of them, as he is averaging just 6.6 receptions per game.
While his reception total has given him a substantial boost in PPR settings, his yardage total remains modest, despite the high volume. Olave is averaging only 48.8 yards per game and has yet to eclipse 65 yards in a single contest.
Even though Olave's ceiling appears to be limited due to Rattler's play, his role as the team's WR1 will keep him in FLEX territory for the foreseeable future. This weekend, the Saints will face the New England Patriots, who have allowed the 13th-most PPR points per game to the WR position.
While Ridley may carry higher upside, Olave's floor is much safer, especially in PPR leagues.

Should I Start Ladd McConkey for Fantasy Football?
The final WR we will look at in this piece is second-year pass-catcher Ladd McConkey. McConkey was a league-winner last season as a rookie and entered as a consensus second-round pick in all drafts this season, as he appeared to be Justin Herbert's clear No. 1 target.
However, in the opening month, McConkey has seen many of his targets go to veteran Keenan Allen and third-year wideout Quentin Johnston, who appears to be in the midst of a breakout season. Through Weeks 1 through 4, McConkey caught just 16 of his 27 targets for 174 yards and no touchdowns. During this period, the Georgia product averaged a low 8.3 PPR points per game.
In Week 5, McConkey was able to begin to turn the corner, as he caught five passes for 39 yards and a touchdown. While his yardage total remained low, he was able to bring in all five passes and find the end zone for the first time.
Earlier this week, the Chargers placed breakout rookie running back Omarion Hampton on the IR with an ankle injury. He will join Najee Harris (Achilles) on the IR, who has already been ruled out for the season. As a result, fantasy managers should expect the Chargers to lean even more on their passing attack for the foreseeable future as Hassan Haskins is slated to lead the RB room.
This weekend, the Chargers could find themselves in a relatively high-scoring affair against the Miami Dolphins. Even though the Dolphins have allowed the eighth-fewest PPR points to opposing WRs this season, McConkey should see his target share continue to rise during Hampton's absence.
McConkey enters Week 6 carrying solid WR2 upside.
