Michael Thomas 2018 Outlook: As Solid A WR You Can Get
6 years agoThe New Orleans Saints' number one wide receiver for the upcoming season is, by no surprise, Michael Thomas. Thomas is coming off of an incredible 2017 season, in which he finished third in the NFL with 104 catches and sixth in the NFL in receiving yards with 1,245.
He is vital to the Saints offense, as 70 of his 104 catches led to first downs, which was the third-highest total in the NFL. With Drew Brees ready to rock-and-roll yet again, Thomas makes a great argument to be a top-five wide receiver off the board following the three-headed monster of Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins and Odell Beckham Jr. Although Thomas has averaged 78 yards per game in his career, he has just six 100-yard games, but he will be a consistent producer on a weekly basis.
You should be targeting Thomas in the early-to-mid second round range in both PPR and standard leagues with him most likely being off the board before pick 20 universally. He will also be a hot commodity in dynasty formats, as he is just now entering his third season at 25 years old.
