Julio Jones 2020 Outlook: Flying High
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones hit his mark last season while still putting up 99 receptions for 1,394 yards in 15 games. Despite his age, Jones is still the alpha in the Falcons' offense. After signing a new four-year contract before last season, this is not going to change anytime soon. Calvin Ridley is a great compliment on the other side of the field. With Austin Hooper now in Cleveland, there will be even more balls thrown the way of the duo, with many of those going to Jones as he continues to pile up seasons of over 160 targets. This season, the Falcons will rely on talented but oft-injured Todd Gurley II to provide the run game behind Matt Ryan. At only $6 million for one season, this is a safe shot to take. But if his knee cannot hold up like he and the team hope, even more will fall on the shoulders of Jones. He has a good offense and a quarterback who loves to throw the ball to him. So, fire him up and do not miss out on him.
