Should I start Kenneth Walker III, Alvin Kamara, Breece Hall for Week 7? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle), and New York Jets running back Breece Hall have all seen better days of production earlier in their careers.
This season, for whatever reasons, all three are performing at levels well below how they did in their rookie campaigns. At least we know the potential is there.
But situations change over time, and defenses get more tape on players they previously didn't know as much about. That said, is it worth starting Walker, Kamara, and Hall for Week 7?

Should I Start Kenneth Walker III for Fantasy Football?
For the past few seasons, Walker has consistently been... well, anything but consistent. Unfortunately, this season, his production has swung around wildly, like a pendulum clock inside a building during an earthquake. He scored just 4.7 PPR fantasy points last week as a result.
He simply isn't getting enough playing time to be a reliable fantasy option. Thorough six contests so far, he has just one game with more than 50 percent of the team's offensive snaps. He averages under 50 percent, and last week, he played just 35 percent, handling 10 carries and only being targeted once.

The team limiting Walker's snaps heavily because he's dealing with a foot injury that isn't going away any time soon makes a lot more sense than them leaning into using backup Zach Charbonnet to help their team win. Charbonnet has been massively inefficient.
There may be other elements to this lack of usage, too -- Walker tends to bounce runs outside in search for the big play, and often that leads to losing yards, though he is one of the most elusive backs in the NFL. Still, it's hard to trust Walker in any matchup. He's a risky flex start.
The receiving volume he had last season just isn't there, despite offseason chatter that he'd be used more as a pass-catcher, so the floor is very, very low.
Should I Start Alvin Kamara for Fantasy Football?
Kamara looks and plays like a 30-year-old running back that's highly talented but has clearly lost at least a few steps. That's not totally unexpected at this point in his career, but it's significantly lowered his upside for fantasy football.
Older running backs tend to have sharp declines in production, though the more talented ones can stick around a bit longer as their abilities fade more gradually. Through six games, Kamara is the RB24. He hasn't had a bye week yet. That's at least startable, but nothing groundbreaking.

It doesn't look like a trade is imminent, though, and he's expected to play in Week 7 despite his ankle injury. He has a higher floor than Walker due to his receiving ability, and though his backup, RB Kendre Miller, has been getting more work in recent weeks, the receiving floor is very nice.
Kamara is a fine start as a flex. He has just one touchdown this season, and has had just 29 touches in his last two contests, which is less than usual, but he's a great PPR-scam player even when he doesn't have a ton of rushing volume or scores.
Should I Start Breece Hall for Fantasy Football?
Hall is a very good running back stuck, yet again, on a terrible offense. The New York Jets decided to roll with QB Justin Fields, who hasn't won a single game in his career when his opponent has scored 21 or more points. He's a garbage time merchant that has great boom games for fantasy, though.
But he simply cannot elevate a team around him. He only wins when his defense plays lights out, and even then, only sometimes. The Jets see many of their drives stall, and often fail to put up a fight in the first half of the games they play.

Though Fields is a good runner for a quarterback, opposing teams simply aren't scared of the passing game, which lets them key in on the run and slow down Hall. The fourth-year pro RB is the RB22 right now, and scored just 5.9 PPR fantasy points last week.
He'll face a defense that's overall easier to play against -- the Denver Broncos were a very tough matchup in Week 6 -- but the Panthers have actually been great against the run in recent weeks, so he's a very risky flex play that you can't really bench for now.
