Should I start Kendrick Bourne, Romeo Doubs, Jordan Addison for Week 7? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.
In recent weeks, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison, Green Bay Packers wideout Romeo Doubs, and San Francisco 49ers WR Kendrick Bourne have all had great games in their own right.
All three have been far from consistent in this area, though -- dating back to last season, they all have plenty of single-digit PPR fantasy point performances, and some have far more bad games than good performances.
Obviously, we want to start players when we think they will have good performances and leave them on the bench when they suck. It's hard to predict when they'll suck (for fantasy purposes), but let's try anyway!

Should I Start Jordan Addison for Fantasy Football?
It looks like star Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (hamstring) is set to play in this week's contest against the Vikings. That means that the duo of Addison and Justin Jefferson will face tougher coverage than they would without him.
Mitchell has been playing at an elite level, but it's possible they'll have him on a pitch count of some sort. Jefferson is obviously a must-start, but things are murkier with Addison, though he's managed to score over 15 PPR fantasy points in both of his contests this year.

Addison is an excellent WR2, capable of making big plays downfield and scoring touchdowns. His target volume is consistently lower than Jefferson's, but it's a boost to his play that QB Carson Wentz will play, because J.J. McCarthy (ankle), the team's starter in Week 1, has played awfully so far.
The Eagles have a tough defense, though, so No. 3 is still a boom-or-bust start. You put him in your lineups for the upside, not for the consistency, though. From Weeks 11-18 last season, he had double-digit points in all but one contest, and scored over 30 points twice.
While Wentz doesn't appear to be quite as good as Sam Darnold, who was the Vikings starter last season, it's still worth starting Addison.
Should I Start Romeo Doubs for Fantasy Football?
Doubs' 29.8 PPR fantasy point outing against the lowly Dallas Cowboys pass defense was followed by a game in which he barely cracked 10 points. Such is life for Packers receivers. It was rookie wideout Matthew Golden who had the best performance of any Green Bay pass-catcher in Week 6.
Golden caught three passes for 86 yards. He only had five targets, though -- it was Doubs that saw nine passes go his way. But it still amounted to just 55 yards and zero touchdowns, and it was against another terrible defense.

The Arizona Cardinals, who the Packers will face in Week 7, have a better defensive unit. They're stiffer against receivers at least -- the Bengals have been very bad at slowing down opposing wideouts this year. Doubs is a risky flex start at best.
You're basically counting on him getting a touchdown. And the Packers have shown they're perfectly willing to run the ball as much as they like -- they're ranked second in percentage of offensive plays that are rushes, even with their quarterback, Jordan Love, not being a hyper-mobile QB that inflates those numbers.
Doubs is a fine start in deeper leagues, but he's risky.
Should I Start Kendrick Bourne for Fantasy Football?
Bourne has come out of nowhere to put together multiple big performances. He's been the favorite target of quarterback Mac Jones (knee, oblique), who's filling in for the injured Brock Purdy (toe). With Purdy ruled out and Jones set to start again, we could see another big game from the former Patriot WR.
Bourne has scored 24.2 and 19.2 PPR fantasy points in his last two contests, both with Jones leading the way. There is one wrinkle in this plan, though -- it appears that elite tight end George Kittle (hamstring) is set to return from his torn hamstring injury for this game.
"No pitch-count. George has rehabbed really well. Came back 100% and had a good week of practice. We'll space it out throughout the game but no pitch-count."

While 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Kittle will play and won't be on a pitch count, he said "we'll space it out," which might mean that he'll be on a pitch count. Even so, it seems like Bourne will be a solid start. With WR Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs, shoulder) dealing with severe injuries, Bourne could once again be the WR1.
Additionally, WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) won't play, affording Bourne more opportunities for targets. There's room for at least two pass-catchers, and possibly three, to have solid games in San Francisco's elite passing offense. The 49ers will face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7, though, and they have a good defense.
Bourne should be viewed as a flex player with additional risk from his difficult matchup.
