Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson, Harold Fannin: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 4

Mark Andrews - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Should I start Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson, Harold Fannin Jr. for Week 4? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

The tight end position has been one of the hardest to navigate in recent years. There are usually only a few elite tight end options, and the rest are all about the same. Sometimes, picking the right tight end to start each week causes fantasy managers some headaches before Sunday. At RotoBaller, we are here to help.

In this article, we will see if tight ends Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson, and Harold Fannin Jr. should be started in fantasy in Week 4. All three tight ends have had at least one strong fantasy day this year and could be solid plays in most formats this weekend.

So, should fantasy managers start Andrews, Hockenson, or Fannin in Week 4? Let's dive in and find out.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Mark Andrews for Fantasy Football?

After combining for just two catches for seven yards through the first two weeks, Andrews exploded in Week 3. He caught six passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns en route to a 27.1 PPR fantasy point day. That big fantasy performance could give fantasy managers some confidence in the veteran tight end moving forward.

However, Andrews will be one of the riskier TE1s this week. All signs point to Isaiah Likely (foot) returning this week, and this matchup against the Chiefs secondary isn't the most favorable for the 30-year-old. Kansas City has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points and receptions to the TE position across the first three weeks.

Therefore, he might not be the best start in Week 4. Andrews only has a 70.5% route participation (TE18), and his current 13.3% target share (TE24) is extremely concerning. Still, the Ravens playmaker will come in as the overall TE10 in this week's half-PPR rankings at RotoBaller.

Should I Start T.J. Hockenson for Fantasy Football?

In his first game without J.J. McCarthy last week, Hockenson actually had a solid fantasy day. He caught five passes for 49 yards and one touchdown. Considering Carson Wentz only completed 14 passes in last week's blowout win, seeing Hockenson total five catches is a nice sign for his fantasy value heading into Week 4.

With Wentz starting for the Vikings again, Hockenson will be a solid TE1 play this week against the Steelers. Pittsburgh has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing TEs this season, and we all saw what Hunter Henry did to that secondary last week. Henry totaled eight catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.

As a result, Hockenson should be in most fantasy lineups this week. He should continue to operate as a security blanket in the middle of the field for Wentz, and this matchup against the Steelers is a juicy one. The 28-year-old comes in as the TE12 in RotoBaller's half-PPR rankings for Week 4.

Should I Start Harold Fannin Jr. for Fantasy Football?

Fannin has been a reliable tight end option for fantasy managers through the first couple of weeks. He finished as the overall TE6 in PPR formats in Week 1 and the overall TE12 in PPR formats in Week 2. However, a subpar fantasy day in Week 3 (three catches for 25 yards) will make him a riskier TE1 option this week.

Although Fannin has emerged as a key weapon in this Cleveland offense, there are reasons to be concerned with him heading into a Week 4 matchup against the Lions. He only had a 50% route rate in Week 3, and his snap share has hovered around 63% over the past two games. Given that he ran just 19 routes in last week's win, there are likely more reliable TEs to play in fantasy this week.

That means Fannin is only worth starting in deeper leagues this weekend. He has seen just eight targets across the past two weeks, and his 58% route rate on the season is not a great sign. So, the rookie will come in as the TE17 in RotoBaller's half-PPR rankings for Week 4.
