John's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 7 of 2025. His fantasy outlooks for Wan'Dale Robinson, Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte.
New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson, San Francisco 49ers wideout Kendrick Bourne, and New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte are all players that are considered to be right around the WR2/WR3 range in fantasy football this week.
Each of them had a big game in Week 2 - all scored double-digit PPR fantasy points, and had Bourne scored one more point, all three would have eclipsed 20 points.
So does that make them worth starting in Week 7, or have they been too inconsistent to trust? Let's analyze each player and their upcoming matchup to find out!

Wan'Dale Robinson, WR, New York Giants
Week 6 stats: seven targets, six receptions, 84 yards, one touchdown, 20.4 PPR fantasy points
Robinson had a nice game last week. With the injury to starting WR Malik Nabers (knee), he's the presumptive pick to take over WR1 duties. But he's not a very good wideout. He has an extremely narrow skill set -- beating zone coverages on short and intermediate routes.
He's on the smaller side, so he doesn't have the power or strength to break tackles or fight off press-man coverage. He's not particularly tall, so he's not good in jump-ball situations. He's a gadget player that's being elevated by his quarterback, rookie Jaxson Dart, who's played very well so far.

This week's matchup is tough for Robinson. The Giants will play the elite Denver Broncos defense, who runs a high rate of man coverage. Robinson is very bad against man. I'd leave him on the bench. Though you can't count out Dart's ability to make something happen, he simply needs better WR talent.
Kendrick Bourne, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Week 6 stats: nine targets, five catches, 142 yards, 19.2 PPR fantasy points
Bourne has been on an absolute heater the last two weeks. The reasons for this are probably pretty simple. The team has a ton of injuries at wide receiver -- Brandon Aiyuk (knee) continues to work his way back from a torn ACL, MCL, and damaged meniscus, for starters. He hasn't played yet this year and won't play in Week 7.
In addition, WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) will miss yet another contest. He hasn't played since Week 4, when he was pulled from the game early after picking up the aliment. And WR Jauan Jennings (ribs, ankle, shoulder) is dealing with five broken ribs, a severely injured shoulder, and a low and high ankle sprain.
Kind of insane, but Kendrick Bourne can be the first #49ers' WR since Jerry Rice in 1995 to have three straight games with 100 yards receiving.

Bourne also has an excellent rapport built with quarterback Mac Jones (knee), who is set to start yet again in place of the already-ruled-out QB1 Brock Purdy (toe). A game against the tough Atlanta Falcons defense might make life a bit more difficult for Bourne, though.
However, despite 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's propensity to let his players play through pre-existing injuries and working them very hard at practice, causing them to get injured at a ridiculous rate, he can design excellent offensive schemes. Bourne is a solid flex starter this week.
His upside might be capped a bit more by the return of elite TE George Kittle (hamstring), but he's the WR1 on a good offense, and that's usually worth putting in starting lineups.
Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots
Week 6 stats: five targets, five receptions, 93 yards, two touchdowns
Boutte had a nice game in Week 1 before falling off the fantasy football radar for five straight weeks until last game, when he scored 26.3 PPR fantasy points. Weeks 2-5 were pretty abysmal, as he failed to reach double-digit PPR fantasy points in each contest.
The narrative about New England's pass-catchers seems to shift every week, but the reality is different. Quarterback Drake Maye, the team's first-round draft pick in 2024, has been playing fantastic football, but he loves to spread the ball around to his targets. Thus, none have been remotely consistent this year.
All 5 of Kayshon Boutte's targets went for 1st downs:
- 3rd & 9 catch-and-run
- Contested deep TD to the backside of a fake screen
- Two grabs during 2 min, including a deep TD where he won leverage before attacking the ball
- Boxed out CB, stayed in bounds on back shoulder pic.twitter.com/AAZtTVcE4R— Taylor Kyles (@tkyles39) October 12, 2025
Boutte's been efficient, averaging nearly 17 yards per catch and gaining first downs at a very high rate. But too often the greatness of a team's quarterback isn't properly recognized. Maye is putting his players in positions to win, consistently, despite having one of the weakest pass-catching groups in football.
He's elevating Boutte, and he does so on a fickle basis. Boutte could just as easily have games like his Week 4 outing, in which he caught just one of his three targets for 18 yards. And he has only 23 targets in six contests. That's less than four passes thrown his way per game.
It's hard to trust him at all in fantasy lineups. We could just as easily see a big game from Stefon Diggs or Hunter Henry, the team's starting tight end. But the matchup is easy -- the Pats will play the Tennessee Titans -- so a flex spot in deeper leagues is fine for Boutte.
