Matthew Stafford, Daniel Jones, Caleb Williams: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 6

Matthew Stafford - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Should I start Matthew Stafford, Daniel Jones, Caleb Williams for Week 6? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

Five weeks into the NFL season, we're starting to get a good read on which teams are trending in which direction, and which quarterbacks are ready to light it up. While there are a few elite, every-week starting options for fantasy football, just behind them is another tier of solid producers who have stepped up in the first five weeks of the season.

In this article, we will see if quarterbacks Matthew Stafford, Daniel Jones, and Caleb Williams make sense as Week 6 fantasy starters. They are not every-week, no-doubt starters, but they have been very productive this year. Each of the three quarterbacks in this post is at a very different stage of their career, and each has shown some very intriguing upside in their hot starts. Can you count on them this week?

Should fantasy managers start Stafford, Jones, and Williams in Week 6? Let's dive in and find out.

Should I Start Matthew Stafford for Fantasy Football?

Stafford has been the No. 6 fantasy quarterback so far this season and leads the NFL with 1,503 passing yards. He has thrown for 11 touchdowns along with just two interceptions, while leading the Rams to a 3-2 record. He doesn't bring hardly any rushing potential, but the veteran QB has overcome that with his great passing totals each week.

In the last two weeks, Stafford has been especially locked in:

He threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions in each of his last two weeks, with 375 passing yards against the Colts and 389 passing yards against the 49ers. The team took a tough loss to San Francisco, but Stafford and company will look to bounce back against the Ravens, who have been an extremely favorable matchup for quarterbacks so far this season.

Normally a strong defense, the Ravens have given up the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in the NFL this season. Opposing quarterbacks have thrown four touchdowns against them in each of their last two games, and they have allowed 13 passing scores and an average of 270.2 passing yards per game.

In such a juicy matchup, Stafford is the No. 12 QB in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 6.

Should I Start Daniel Jones for Fantasy Football?

While he hasn't been around nearly as long as Stafford, Jones is another veteran QB who is off to a great start this year. Jones got a fresh start this year with the Colts after six years with the Giants, and so far, he has made the most of it.

He has been the No. 8 QB in fantasy football this year, throwing for 1,290 passing yards, six touchdowns, and two picks. He has added three rushing scores as well with 56 rushing yards. While he hasn't run for a ton of yards, those rushing touchdowns have been key. He's also helped the Colts to a fast 4-1 start, which has them tied for first in their division.

After taking down the Raiders, Jones and the Colts are home at Lucas Oil Stadium to take on the Cardinals in Week 6.

The Cardinals have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and they may be banged up and short-handed on offense. The game definitely has blowout potential and could mean a lot of Jonathan Taylor, but the Colts should be able to put points on the board.

Even though the matchup doesn't have much potential to be high-scoring, Jones is still in a good spot since the offense is firing on all cylinders. He's RotoBaller's No. 10 QB this week, making him a starter in most formats. The two main advantages he brings over Stafford this week are, firstly, that he's playing at home while Stafford is on the road, and secondly, that he brings more rushing potential.

Should I Start Caleb Williams for Fantasy Football?

The Bears are back in action after their bye week, and Williams is back to being a strong fantasy football option to consider at quarterback. On a per-game basis, Williams has been the seventh-highest scoring quarterback this season, and the bye week should give him even more time to adjust to new coach Ben Johnson's system.

In his first four games with Johnson, Williams has already come a long way. He has thrown for 927 yards with eight touchdowns and two interceptions while running for 110 yards and another score. He has shown dual-threat ability, but he's also done a good job of not running too much, allowing the offense to develop naturally.

He's established an outstanding connection with Rome Odunze and has a full complement of talented receivers to work with as the Bears return after a week off.

Williams' most impressive game of the season came in his last home game, which was against the Cowboys. He carved up Dallas for a season-high 298 passing yards and four touchdowns, showing off how high his ceiling can be in favorable conditions.

He'll face another NFC East team this week as the Bears take on the Commanders on Monday Night Football. The Caleb Williams vs. Jayden Daniels hype will be on full blast, and Williams should be ready to rise to the challenge. Based on his hot start, he is the QB No. 9 in the RotoBaller rankings, making him the preferred starting option of the three QBs in this post, according to our premium rankings.

All three of these QBs have upside, but Williams has such a high ceiling and is truly a dual-threat QB who is rapidly growing into a very effective offense in Chicago.
