Kayshon Boutte - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Jakobi Meyers, Courtland Sutton, Kayshon Boutte for Week 4? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

Navigating your FLEX position can be the difference between winning and losing your weekly matchup.

In this piece, we will look at three wide receivers who have had inconsistent performances early in the season but have shown high upside at times and are worthy of consideration as FLEX options in Week 4.

So, should fantasy managers start Meyers, Sutton, and Boutte in Week 4? Let's dive in and find out.

Should I Start Jakobi Meyers for Fantasy Football?

With the Raiders not finding success in their rushing attack, Geno Smith has had to push the ball downfield more often than expected. Through three games, the veteran Meyers has been the team's primary No. 1 option, while Brock Bowers is dealing with a lingering injury.

In the first two games of the season, Meyers saw 22 combined targets and was able to bring in 14 of them for 165 yards. He operated as Smith's clear No. 1 option and showed solid WR2 upside.

However, during their loss to the Commanders in Week 3, Meyers took the backseat as No. 2 WR, Tre Tucker enjoyed a breakout game, eclipsing 140 yards and finding the back of the end zone three times. In this game, Meyers saw only four targets and caught three for 63 yards.

Despite his underwhelming showing in Week 3, managers should view the 28-year-old wideout as a reliable high-floor WR3/FLEX option. Given that he saw double-digit targets in Weeks 1 and 2, it should put him in a prime position to bounce back this weekend.

In Week 4, the Raiders will play host to the Chicago Bears, who have struggled to defend the passing game. In the opening month, the Bears have allowed the fifth-most PPR points to opposing WRs, which puts Meyers in an elite position to bounce back.

His high target share and excellent matchup should put him in a great position to push for high-end WR3 production. He is a must-start in all 12-team formats.

Should I Start Courtland Sutton for Fantasy Football?

Courtland Sutton was a league-winner down the stretch last season. After posting a 0.0 PPR point game in Week 7, Sutton would go on to average a stellar 18.2 PPR points over his final 10 contests. During this stretch, he established a strong connection with rookie QB Bo Nix. He found the back of the end zone six times and saw 8.8 targets per game.

However, Nix has had a bit of a sophomore slump throughout the opening month, which has hindered Sutton's fantasy output. In Week 1, Sutton was the lone bright spot in the passing attack, catching six of his nine targets for 61 yards and a touchdown. However, in Week 2, Sutton took the backseat to second-year WR Troy Franklin, as he caught only one of his four targets for six yards.

In Week 3, Sutton was able to rebound quickly, bringing in six of his eight targets for 118 yards and his second touchdown. Much of his production came on an impressive 52-yard TD reception.

While he disappointed managers in Week 2, seeing Sutton operate as Nix's clear top target in two out of three weeks puts him in must-start territory in Week 4. This weekend, the Broncos will host the Cincinnati Bengals, who have one of the worst defensive units in the sport.

Over the past two weeks, the Bengals have allowed 75 total points. While the Broncos will likely lean on their rushing attack as Cincinnati has struggled to defend opposing running backs, Sutton should once again lead the team in targets, which puts him in must-start high-end FLEX territory.

Should I Start Kayshon Boutte for Fantasy Football?

The final player we will look at in this piece is Kayshon Boutte of the New England Patriots. Boutte showed flashes of upside late last season but caught the eye of fantasy managers in Week 1.

During their loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, Boutte led the passing attack, catching six of his eight targets for 109 yards. He dominated that target share in this contest and looked like the clear WR1 over Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins.

However, in Weeks 2 and 3, despite logging a similar snap share, Boutte has not been given the opportunities. In Week 2, Boutte saw only one target, but was able to catch for a 16-yard TD. In Week 3, the LSU product caught only two of his three targets for a mere 28 yards.

With Diggs being gradually integrated into the offense and tight end Hunter Henry serving as a valuable player in the middle of the field, Boutte appears to be a player who is tough to trust weekly. While QB Drake Maye has looked very productive in the first month, he has opted to spread the ball around and not heavily target a specific pass catcher.

As a result, Boutte carries low-end FLEX upside down in a Week 4 title against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have been one of the best teams at shutting down the opposing passing attack. Through three games, they have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing WRs.

While Boutte should continue to be deployed as a starter in the New England offense, his inconsistent targets make him tough to trust, especially in a difficult matchup. He is best left as a FLEX play in deeper 3-WR formats.
