John's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 4 of 2025. His fantasy football outlooks for TreVeyon Henderson, Woody Marks, Matthew Golden, Jameson Williams, Emeka Egbuka.
The eternal question in redraft leagues in fantasy football revolves around which players you should start and which you should leave on your bench. It would be nice if all leagues had a best ball format -- or it would at least be less stressful.
It's never a good feeling seeing a player go off on your bench while your starter puts up single-digit points, only to swap the two players the next week and see it happen all over again in reverse. But it's an unavoidable occurrence.
If you're able to research the players a bit more, for example by reading the below article, you can at least reduce the frequency with which that happens, though. So let's dive into start 'em, sit 'em decisions for five fantasy football players for Week 4!

TreVeyon Henderson, RB, New England Patriots
Henderson hasn't played well this season as a runner. Though he's an explosive athlete, his problems with playing through contact in college, evident by his extremely low rate of forced missed tackles, are rearing their ugly heads so far. It's a big reason why he hasn't gotten more work yet.

When Henderson takes a hit with any kind of force from a defender, even if he powers through it at a good angle for an extra yard or two, he's almost never able to break away. And as an interior runner, things get even worse. His lack of size and some mechanical issues with his game make him ill-suited for a between-the-tackles RB role.
Even though the other two RBs, Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson, had fumbling issues, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said that at least Stevenson wouldn't be disciplined. It appears that New England knows that giving inside runs to Henderson isn't a great idea.

The matchup is really nice, though. The Patriots will take on the Carolina Panthers, who have one of the league's worst rush defenses. They rank 30th in ESPN's Run Stop Win Rate, and rank 3rd-worst in the NFL in yards per carry allowed to opposing running backs.
Henderson needs wide open lanes to run through, but when he gets them, he can produce big plays because he's an explosive athlete. I'd be fine starting him in the flex this week. But he'll likely be a highly boom-or-bust player this season.
Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
Marks is still a tough player for me to start. It looks like he could be gradually getting a bigger workload in his team's backfield, which he mostly shares with veteran back Nick Chubb. But Marks still has yet to see more than 10 opportunities in a game, and doesn't have great reception numbers to make up for it.
Right now, the split in workload between Chubb and Marks is fairly even. Marks touched the ball three, four, and seven times in his first three games. Chubb's workload has been stable, while it's been the backups behind Marks that have seen less work.
I get that people are excited about Woody Marks, but it's not like he's taking the backfield over from Nick Chubb. Chubb played 51%, 53%, and 52% of the offensive snaps in Weeks 1-3.

With Mixon still out with injury, Houston has used Dare Ogunbowale on special teams and left Dameon Pierce inactive. Were Chubb or Marks to suffer injury, Ogunbowale would get more work. It's looking like a pretty ugly halfway split between Marks and Chubb right now.
That's worth at least stashing him in deeper leagues. But unfortunately, it might take an injury to Chubb to make the rookie Marks startable, so I recommend not putting him in your lineups.
Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers
Golden is, in my opinion, set up to have a big game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. The Cowboys defense has been absolutely floundering this season. They somehow allowed quarterback Russell Wilson to throw for 450 yards and three touchdowns against them in Week 2. Wilson has 328 yards and two interceptions combined in his other two contests.
And they made the ever-inaccurate Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams look like an All-Pro player against them last week. Williams threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns in a blowout win. Green Bay is likely angry, coming off a loss to the Cleveland Browns, and could exact their revenge against Dallas.
Packers are coming off a loss, probably angry, and will face the fake Cowboys defense in Week 4.
So yeah bet the over on Matthew Golden and expect everyone to freak out when he has a big game as if he's the next Tyreek Hill

The Dallas defense is simply awful. If you haven't watched the games or dove into the film, it's hard to accurately describe just how bad it is. They're playing like a headless chicken, absolutely busting coverages and leaving receivers wide open in the passing game.
The concern is that their offense will struggle massively without wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) who's set to miss a few weeks, and has already been ruled out for Week 4. Green Bay could build an early lead and play much more conservatively to chew the clock down and protect the ball.
Still, I expect Golden to make a few big plays. He has the speed for it. So he should be in starting lineups. There's less target competition with wide receiver Jayden Reed (foot/clavicle) out for extended time and tight end Tucker Kraft (knee/elbow) potentially seeing a reduced workload.
Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions
Williams was targeted just three times in his team's thrilling Week 3 win against the Baltimore Ravens, despite the game ending up as a high-scoring affair. Both of Williams' catches came on the team's first offensive drive. After that, he was simply blanked.
He did have one target more in the fourth quarter, but the Lions were able to lean heavily on their running backs and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Detroit racked up a 224 rushing yards and four rush touchdowns, averaging nearly 5.9 yards per carry.

Williams has a very high ceiling, but it's evident, as if it hasn't been for the past few seasons, that Detroit is capable of beating even good NFL teams in a variety of ways. Their run game is still finding success despite offensive line losses, and they have a ton of weapons in the passing game.
Williams is a great player to have in best ball leagues, but a pretty decent-sized headache in redraft leagues. Still, having him in your flex spot for his boom games is a good idea. He's still worth starting.
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
At this point, Egbuka should be locked into starting lineups moving forward. There have been some initial red flags about him, relating to his lack of separation skills and his efficiency at earning targets. That doesn't really matter moving forward because of the target competition the Bucs have.
WR Mike Evans (hamstring), the team's most talented receiver, is set to miss at least a few weeks with a hamstring injury. Additionally, WR Chris Godwin (ankle) is questionable to play in Week 4. And even if he does play, it's likely his reps will be capped in the game.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield is playing at a very high level, and Tampa Bay's offense is executing plays well. Egbuka, though he's not been separating consistently, has made a variety of great catches, relying on his body control, concentration, and strength.
And with Mayfield throwing him such accurate passes, often into tight windows, things are working out well. With no Evans in the mix for Week 4, Egbuka is the WR1 on a good offense with a good quarterback that's willing to target him plenty. No reason to bench him.
Things should be different when Godwin is healthy and Evans is back.
