Pittsburgh Pirates Bubba Chandler has been a popular stash candidate throughout the first half of the regular season, but he has yet to earn the call to join the MLB roster.
However, the right-hander is coming off a strong outing at Triple-A and could be in the mix to join Pittsburgh shortly after the trade deadline.

Bubba Chandler Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
In his most recent outing on Thursday, July 24, against Triple-A Toledo, the top-ranked prospect tossed 5 2/3 innings of two-run ball with just four hits and two free passes. The right-hander struck out seven hitters.
This is a great sign for Chandler as he served up a hefty five runs and eight hits in his previous outing against Triple-Nashville.
While Chandler has struggled to find consistency this season, highlighted by a rough June with an 8.53 ERA, he has typically been able to right the ship and get himself back on track. If Chandler can enjoy another strong outing before the end of the month, he could join Pittsburgh in early August.

Bubba Chandler Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Before June, Chandler appeared to be on the fast track to the big leagues as he logged 48 2/3 innings to the tune of an impressive 2.03 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP. During this stretch, the right-hander struck out 69 batters while allowing only 21 free passes.
During his first look at Triple-A last season, the consensus top-ranked pitcher in the Pittsburgh system posted a 1.83 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP through 39 1/3 innings of work.
With several veteran pitchers in their organization, such as Mitch Keller and Andrew Heaney, who are viewed as potential trade candidates, Chandler could have a clear path to remain in the majors through the final months of the regular season. He is worth stashing in all standard formats going forward.
