Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson couldn't overcome early injuries and inconsistency to approach the standard set by his QB1 finish in 2024. The two-time MVP completed 192-of-302 passes for 2,549 yards and a 21:7 TD-to-INT ratio, rushing 67 times for 349 yards and two scores. He suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3 that worsened in Week 4, which led to three games missed. This came after three straight top-four fantasy finishes to open the year. Likely related to this, he later dealt with knee, ankle, and toe injuries, which further limited his mobility.
It helps the team when you can hand it off to Derrick Henry rather than risk the QB, but it hurts Jackson's fantasy managers. As a result, he took a career-high sack rate and never had another top-six performance in his other nine games played. However, we still saw a robust 13.3 yards per completion, and the 29-year-old shouldn't carry these injuries into 2026. Our site rank and the market are buying right back in near his ADP of 43, as Jackson remains the second QB off of most draft boards.
Jaxson Dart, New York Giants
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart enters 2026 as one of the more volatile fantasy quarterbacks after flashing real rushing upside as a rookie. Dart played 14 games and started 12 in 2025, completing 216 of 339 passes for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions. The passing production was uneven, but his legs changed the fantasy profile. Dart rushed 86 times for 487 yards and nine touchdowns, giving him weekly upside that matters more in Superflex and two-QB formats.
He became the starter in Week 4 after Russell Wilson was benched and averaged roughly 22.6 fantasy points per start, though the floor was not always stable. Dart also took 35 sacks, missed two games after a Week 10 concussion, and remains a developing passer entering a new offense under HC John Harbaugh and OC Matt Nagy. Malik Nabers' (knee) recovery from a 2025 knee injury is another key variable, even with Darnell Mooney and Isaiah Likely added to the supporting cast.
Dart is currently being drafted as the QB9 on Sleeper, while RotoBaller ranks him 104th overall and QB12. Dart's rushing gives him a path to outperform that range, but he is easier to justify in Superflex than as an aggressive single-QB target.
Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray is entering his eighth season in the NFL, his first away from Arizona. Murray has finished as a fantasy QB1 in four of his seven seasons, achieving the finish in every season that he has played at least 14 games. However, Murray has only played more than 11 games in one of the past four seasons.
He missed 12 games last year with a foot injury, and didn't look particularly great in the games when he was healthy, prompting Arizona to move on. Murray landed in Minnesota, which has been a great spot for quarterbacks to rejuvenate their careers. If he has it in him to follow in the footsteps of Sam Darnold, Murray could be set for a huge season. Surrounded by Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jauan Jennings, and T.J. Hockenson with Kevin O'Connell calling plays, Murray is in the best situation of his career. After winning the QB1 job over J.J. McCarthy in camp, he could be set for an astronomical bounce-back.
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Bo Nix is entering his third season in the NFL and has performed exceptionally well through his first two seasons, both from a fantasy perspective and from a real-football perspective. Nix has finished both of his first two seasons in the league as the QB7, averaging 18.6 and 17.9 fantasy points per game. He offers some rushing stability, never finishing below 356 rushing yards or four scores on the ground in either season. Nix's floor should be elevated with the addition of Jaylen Waddle, giving him a new go-to target.
He has yet to eclipse 4,000 yards passing, falling just short last season at 3,931, but should be surrounded by the strongest group of weapons he's seen thus far in 2026. Even though Nix saw his 2025 season cut short due to an ankle injury, he has already taken the field in the preseason and is set to be full-go for Week 1. Nix is a prime mid-round QB to target given his rushing upside and improved supporting cast.
Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough finished 2025 with 2,384 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns, and a 67.6% completion rate across 11 games. He also produced one of his best games late in the season, throwing for 333 yards and two touchdowns in a comeback win over the Titans. He was so good down the stretch, in fact, that he was QB5 in overall fantasy points from Weeks 12-18.
The fantasy appeal for Shough comes from the possibility that he is still undervalued despite his rushing ability, improved offensive weapons, and a head coach who plays at the league's fastest pace. His accuracy, rushing, and weapons give him a strong foundation, and his late-season surge showed that his ceiling may be much higher than we originally thought. If the Saints continue building around him in 2026, with new weapons in rookie Jordyn Tyson and running back Travis Etienne Jr., Shough has the potential to become one of the best quarterback values in fantasy drafts because his cost will likely remain outside the top 100 picks.
Even though Tyson is set to miss the opening two months, Chris Olave, Juwan Johnson and Etienne provide Shough with high-end talent to keep him as a prime late-round sleeper.
