Casey Wilson's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Monday, 8/24/26. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
We have a split slate again on a Monday, with DraftKings and FanDuel not aligning at the start of their slates. Luckily, I will try my best to focus on DraftKings, but a few spots stand out in the early games. With Fantasy Football full steam ahead, why not cash in on some extra money so you can do more best balls? Let's dig in.
If you have not had a chance to check out my model, I will refer to it throughout this article. To get a better sense of where I am, not only on today's slate but on every slate, please give it a look. My plays are solely based on numbers, and this model is the brain behind the operation. I have also created a hitter model that is not public, but I will reference it in this article.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/24/2026, with the slate starting at 7:40 p.m. ET on DraftKings and at 6:40 p.m. ET FanDuel. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.
Top MLB DFS Pitcher for DraftKings, FanDuel
Parker Messick, SP - CLE ($9.5K DK/$10.1K FD)
Parker Messick has been a main feature in this article over the last month, and for his second apperance in a row, he is my top option on the slate. He will take on the Los Angeles Angels on the road tonight, where he is projected for a 25.1% K% and 5.94 strikeouts tonight.
Messick has been tremendous and is in his best form of the season. He has a 2.71 xFIP, 29.0% K%, 0.93 WHIP, 0.86 HR/9, and a 26.5% Hard Hit% over the last month. The Angels have struggled mightily against LHP this season and lately. They have a 23.7% K%, a .624 OPS, and a 73 wRC+ against the split over the last 30 days. All in Messick once again.
Top MLB DFS Stack for DraftKings, FanDuel
Minnesota Twins (Model-Projected IRT of 6.8 runs) vs. Jeffrey Springs
It seems like it has been forever since we've seen a series in Sacramento at Sutter Health Park, but tonight the Twins will travel out west to square off against the Athletics and Jeffrey Springs. Their 6.8 implied run total is nearly a run higher than the second-highest option on the board, making the Twins the clear-cut option for me tonight.
It will be in the mid-90s with a 10+ mph wind blowing straight out at first pitch tonight. On top of that, the Twins get a great matchup with the struggling Jeffrey Springs, who has a 7.74 xFIP, 2.00 WHIP, 1.64 HR/9, 43.9% FB%, and a 36.6% Hard Hit% over the last month. The Twins are on fire with a .819 OPS and a 129 wRC+ against southpaws over the last 14 days. The Twins and Messick will be the cornerstone of my lineups tonight.
Favorite Targets: Kody Clemens, Josh Bell, Ryan Jeffers, Byron Buxton, Luke Keaschall, Austin Martin
Top MLB DFS Hitter for DraftKings, FanDuel
Pete Crow-Armstrong, OF - CHC ($6.6K DK/$4.2K FD)
Mr. MVP himself is at the top of my model tonight and takes the spot for th top bat on tonight's slate. Merill Kelly has allowed a .523 wBA, .290 ISO, and a 1.273 OPS over his last 31 TBF from the left-hand side. PCA is hitting everything at the moment as he has a .387 wOBA, .385 ISO, and a .952 OPS against RHP over the last month. Dare we say PCA leaves the yard again?
