Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 9:
Puka Nacua, WR, Rams
Trade Value: 87.9
ROS Rank: 6
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (ankle) is expected to practice on Wednesday and play in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, according to head coach Sean McVay. Nacua injured his left ankle in the Week 6 win over the Baltimore Ravens and was held out for the team's Week 7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
The Rams were on their bye in Week 8, and it sounds like Nacua has made enough progress to be able to return this weekend against the Saints. If he is active, fantasy managers need to get the second-year wideout back into all starting lineups.
Even with one fewer game played than many of the other receivers in the league, Nacua ranks as the WR5 in half-PPR scoring with 54 receptions on 65 targets for 616 yards and two touchdowns through six games played in 2025. Even with Davante Adams in town, quarterback Matthew Stafford looks Nacua's way more often than not when he drops back to pass.
Verdict: With injury concerns dwindling, you'll have to pay up for this consistent WR1
Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos
Trade Value: 53.9
ROS Rank: 36
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton was seemingly the focal point of the Dallas Cowboys' defensive game plan in Week 8, as they limited him to four catches on six targets for 67 yards and no touchdowns.
On a day where Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw for four touchdowns, it's certainly disappointing that Sutton wasn't on the other end of any of them despite playing in a plus matchup. Sutton's alpha role was ceded to wide receiver Troy Franklin, who would ultimately lead the team with eight targets and six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps defenses will need to respect the rest of the receiving room from here on out if Franklin keeps showing up, but the whole offense will face a more difficult matchup in Week 9 as they travel to Houston to face the Texans.
Verdict: Showing some inconsistency of late - try to buy this WR2 for a reasonable price if possible
Oronde Gadsden, TE, Chargers
Trade Value: 17.8
ROS Rank: 114
Los Angeles Chargers rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden has been one of the breakout stars at his position in recent weeks. Over his last three games, Gadsden has recorded 19 catches for 309 yards and two touchdowns on 22 targets.
The 22-year-old appears to be a trusted weapon in Los Angeles, as he's played at least 75% of the team's offensive snaps in three straight weeks. If there's any reason for concern with Gadsden, it's the target competition he faces. The Chargers have three wide receivers in Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, and Quentin Johnston who are all candidates to soak up targets.
Still, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert currently leads the NFL in pass attempts (296), so it's possible there's enough target volume to support all four players. Gadsden could continue to emerge as a must-start tight end over the second half of the season.
Verdict: Sell high if possible. Herbert has many WRs to feed, Omarion Hampton will be returning soon, and there are several viable TEs still available on the waiver wire.
Breece Hall, RB, Jets
Trade Value: 59.3
ROS Rank: 31
New York Jets running back Breece Hall posted an outstanding performance during Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hall hasn't found much success on the ground lately, but had no issues in Week 8. Hall rushed 18 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
He also hauled in two receptions for an additional seven yards through the air, but that wasn't all. The 24-year-old threw the game-winning touchdown pass to tight end Mason Taylor.
Breece Hall literally did a little bit of everything during this victory. He'll head into a bye week on a high note before playing the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.
Verdict: Buy low if you still can; better weeks are ahead, especially if he's traded to a contender
Fantasy Football Trade Rankings Values
The higher the Trade Value number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Find your players, add up the trade values of each side of the offer, and see which side of the trade wins.
Who Should I Trade For?
Week 9 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - Puka Nacua, Courtland Sutton, Oronde Gadsden, Chuba Hubbard, Jaylen Waddle, Breece Hall, Saquon Barkley. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.
Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.
How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.
How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
