Fantasy Football Rankings: Running Backs
Bucky Irving (ranked No. 5 at RB): I seem to be landing Irving in the second round of every draft so far, because I am higher on him than most others. He is a dazzling runner who makes defenders miss and then can race past them. Irving is going to be a highly efficient upside RB for the 2025 season and might be a league-winner.
Chase Brown (RB7): Apparently ticketed for heavy volume and TD opportunities on one of the NFL’s best offenses.
James Cook (RB13): Not dropping Cook yet due to contractual grumbling and proved himself as a very good lead RB last year, even if the overall TDs dip by a few.
Kenneth Walker III (RB17): Many fantasy analysts think he may be headed for a career season in Klint Kubiak’s offense. Walker can score from anywhere on the field, but durability is a concern. The offensive line should be somewhat improved, though, with a healthy Abe Lucas back at right tackle and top rookie left guard Grey Zabel slotting in.
Pretty sure TreVeyon Henderson was built in a lab with all the qualities that make a good fantasy football RB turned all the way up https://t.co/FYNDT5YxUW
— Michael F. Florio (@MichaelFFlorio) July 26, 2025
TreVeyon Henderson (RB20): The more I listen to my Sunday afternoon co-host, Mike Florio, on RotoBaller Radio on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, the more excited I get to draft Henderson. Rhamondre Stevenson’s stock started to fall last year and is now dropping even more.
Isiah Pacheco (RB22): Even before some encouraging camp videos surfaced, I was back in on Pacheco. The Kansas City front office did not bring in any significant competition during the offseason, so the decision-makers may be banking on a rebound campaign. I will, too.
Tank Bigsby (RB31): Those who pass on RBs early should target Bigsby. He will be the main TD threat again on a Jacksonville offense that will hopefully and finally deliver ideal fantasy output.
Braelon Allen (RB37): Jets offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand might utilize Allen like David Montgomery was used with the Lions. The Jets offense obviously won’t be as productive as Detroit’s, but it will be run-heavy. In dynasty leagues, consider that Allen’s future stock may rise if the new regime is not enthralled with Breece Hall.
Jaydon Blue (RB44): He is not built to be a true feature back, yet could be the most productive fantasy RB from Dallas as part of a three-man backfield. The Cowboys will pass a lot, and Blue might function as their best pass-catching RB this season.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Wide Receivers
Malik Nabers (WR4): It would not be surprising at all to see Nabers finish as a top-2 fantasy WR this season. If Russell Wilson can hold onto the starting job, he still throws a very good deep ball, which can only enhance the upside of his top WR.
Terry McLaurin (WR10): I am not panicking at all about his contract dispute yet, and when the Commanders do right by McLaurin, I expect a fantasy WR1 season in 2025.
Tyreek Hill (WR12): If Hill and Tua Tagovailoa can avoid major injuries this season, you could see a big bounce-back season for Hill, who still has much WR1 promise. He’s a very inviting pick in the fourth round when you can get him there.
Mike Evans (WR17): He is a nice fit in the fourth round, too, because we didn’t see any apparent slippage last year and can’t draft afraid of him based on his age. Evans will be 32 when the season starts, but I can’t let him fall any further than WR17 based on a “what if” approach.
Marvin Harrison Jr. looks like a different ANIMAL heading into his sophomore season.
Harrison has reportedly been an “impossible task” for Cardinals DB’s to cover at training camp.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR19): He was an obvious disappointment as a rookie. The Cardinals and Kyler Murray know that getting the ball to Harrison is essential, though, so the second-year WR might outperform his fantasy football draft stock in 2025. He is being selected right around where I rank him at the position.
Chris Olave (WR25): I have been able to nab Olave as a WR3 in some drafts so far. Sure, the New Orleans QB situation looks like the worst in the league right now, but even shaky QBs will feed their top target often.
Ricky Pearsall (WR34): Injuries and personnel departures could launch Pearsall into a featured pass-catching role right away when the new season begins. He’s a very tempting value target as a fantasy football WR3.
Jakobi Meyers (WR39): I am concerned that maybe I’m underrating Meyers. He gets an upgrade to Geno Smith, who is a willing gunner as a starter.
Keon Coleman (WR43): The second-year Buffalo WR is one of my favorite value plays at WR. Coleman may become a regular target for Josh Allen on key passing downs and in TD situations in 2025.
Matthew Golden (WR45): Jordan Love has been lacking a true No. 1 WR, and Golden was drafted in the first round by the Packers this year. He should get a good chance to carve out a role as one of Love’s top pass-catchers.
Roman Wilson (WR57): I don’t think Calvin Austin III is better than a No. 3 NFL WR. Wilson has a shot to earn the No. 2 WR job for Pittsburgh after an injury-marred rookie campaign.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Quarterbacks
Jayden Daniels (QB3): It is not easy to decide between Daniels and Jalen Hurts as the third overall QB. Hurts is more proven, but Daniels possesses more upside as a passer, and I am not sure I buy into a “sophomore jinx” superstition. It’s all about how Daniels adjusts as a second-year QB, and I am willing to bet he fares well in that regard.

— Nick Harris (@NickHarrisFWST) July 31, 2025
Dak Prescott (QB9): He is becoming increasingly popular this preseason as a top 10 QB play, because the Cowboys are expected to have issues in the running game and on defense. When you draft Prescott, it’s a confident move in terms of potential volume.
Justin Fields (QB12): Some negative reports out of camp may hurt his fantasy football draft appeal for now, but could also be forgotten by October. Fields’ tremendous upside as a runner gives him a mid-range fantasy QB1 ceiling. He is going to be the crux of the Jets’ offense, which should lean on the run and RPO action.
Jordan Love (QB15): The fact that he is ranked 15th signifies that the QB position is appearing to be rather deep again. A healthy Love should bounce back to be at least a respectable fantasy starter.
C.J. Stroud (QB16): This is another candidate to put a forgettable season behind him. Love and Stroud are quality value targets in superflex/two-QB leagues. The Houston passer will work with a deeper receiving crew this season.
Trevor Lawrence (QB20): This is a pivotal season for Lawrence, who will have a well-rounded supporting cast that can help him to finally start meeting overall expectations. If it doesn’t happen in 2025 for Lawrence, he may never live up to his potential.
Anthony Richardson Sr. (QB28): He is ranked this low because it is uncertain right now whether Richardson will win the starting job. If he does, though, then the ranking will leap forward significantly. Richardson is a great QB3 pick in superflex/two-QB leagues.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Tight Ends
T.J. Hockenson (TE4): Jordan Addison will miss the first three games of the season, allowing Hockenson to get off to a quick and busy start with his new QB.
Evan Engram (TE6): Sean Payton has always considered the TE to be a key part of his offenses. From a coaching perspective, Engram might be in the best situation of his career this season.
will Tyler Warren be the best fantasy TE from this rookie class? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/q5f3flTsyJ
— Yahoo Fantasy Sports (@YahooFantasy) August 3, 2025
Tyler Warren (TE9): This could be the next first-year TE to make an instant and loud statistical splash. I have already seen scouting comparisons to Rob Gronkowski (Lindy’s Sports), and either Colts QB needs a reliable target who can make things happen after the catch in the short and medium ranges.
Jake Ferguson (TE10): In the Dallas passing game, Ferguson may shine as an important pass-catcher on third downs and near the goal line.
Brenton Strange (TE17): With Engram gone, Strange is now the top pass-catching TE in Jacksonville and might build on some of the promise he showed last season. Strange is certainly worth a later-round pick as a TE2 target.
Elijah Arroyo (TE26): A sleeper candidate, the Seahawks' rookie combines good size and some speed. Arroyo could make a bid to be the third-most productive fantasy pass-catcher from the Seattle offense.
