The Los Angeles Chargers might just be one of the most talented offensive football teams in the NFL. With that, comes a handful of exciting fantasy football players at the skill positions.
Veteran WR Mike Williams is one of the top pass catchers in the league, because he is skilled, athletic, and fast, and has the makeup of the ideal fantasy player.

Is Mike Williams Worth Drafting As Your WR2?
With quarterback Justin Herbert's newly minted contract extension still letting its ink dry, the rest of the team around him is prepping for a huge 2023 season. The team believes they now have all the pieces in place to make the deepest playoff run in years, behind their star QB.
One of the main reasons they feel like this could be the year is because Herbert has all the weapons to make Chargers fans' dreams come true. Running back Austin Ekeler, receiver Keenan Allen, tight end Gerald Everett, and Williams make up a contingent of fantasy and real NFL stars.
Williams is undeniably one of the most gifted wideouts in the NFL, but much like teammates Ekeler and Allen, he sometimes has trouble staying on the field. This year, the team and fantasy owners hope he can play all 16 games and help lead them to the promised land. Is the 220-pound, former Clemson Tiger standout a WR2 in 2023?
Where Should You Draft Mike Williams In Fantasy Football?
One season ago, Williams caught 63 balls for 895 yards and four touchdowns which are nice numbers for a WR3 or WR4, but not a WR2. He only played in 11 full games in 2022, and his injury history is somewhat concerning. The gifted receiver has missed six games over the past three seasons and has also left six others early.
When describing him, boom/bust would be the most accurate phrasing for the Chargers big man. He's either going to blow you away one week with his eye-popping stats, putting up near goose eggs on the stat sheets, or sidelined with a boo-boo.
All of these things should be considered when deciding whether or not to draft Williams, and perhaps more importantly, where to draft him. The advice here is to slot number 81 into a WR2 for the upcoming season and hope he can stay healthy. If so, some weeks you will be smiling from ear to ear, but others, be prepared to feel like trading him out of pure frustration.
