James White 2021 Outlook: Return To PPR Prominence?
3 years agoNew England Patriots running back James White has historically been one of the most effective fantasy options over the years, primarily in PPR formats. Granted, White had the luxury of building a rapport with arguably the greatest quarterback ever, Tom Brady, so it would seem logical to see a decline in production after Brady left to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That's precisely what happened as the veteran finished last season with 49 catches for 375 yards and a touchdown, a significant decrease from previous years. While the 29-year-old could turn things around during the 2021 campaign, primarily with Mac Jones under center, a much more potent passer than Cam Newton, fantasy managers shouldn't be reaching for him. Still, if White is floating around late in PPR fantasy drafts, he's worth taking a chance on, especially for those looking to fill a void at the position.
