Welcome, everyone, to my DraftKings PGA DFS lineup picks and advice for the 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open. I'll be providing DFS picks and analysis to help you set those winning DraftKings lineups.

The PGA TOUR has finished its four-week stay in Florida and will be in Texas for the next two weeks, preparing for the Masters, the first major of the year. With Augusta National on the horizon, many of the top players are tuning up at either this week's stop in Houston or next week's Valero Open in San Antonio. It should be an exciting week of fantasy golf, as the PGA TOUR makes its first stop of the season in the Lone Star State.

Big Dogs -- Two Top-Tier Picks

Scottie Scheffler ($14.8K)

While Scheffler has not been at his best this season, he still stands head and shoulders above the rest of this field. His salary is hard to work around for the rest of your roster, but he brings enough win equity that it's impossible to just overlook him. Fading him is a viable strategy, but if you do, you're running the risk that he gets back in form and claims the win before going hunting for a third green jacket.

While he doesn't have a win, Scheffler has a great course history at Memorial Park Golf Course, making the cut in all five of his career appearances. He has four top-25 finishes during those five appearances and finished runner-up in each of the last two seasons. He also finished runner-up at this event in 2021 when it was held in November as part of the Fall schedule.

He will look to claim his first Houston Open and his 21st official PGA TOUR win this week. He got his 20th win at The American Express, his first tournament of the season, and it looked like it was going to be another year of Scheffler dominating the PGA TOUR. That hasn't been how it's played out, though, as Scheffler has started tournaments slowly, barely made the cut, and had uncharacteristic issues with every part of his game.

Even as bumpy as his play has been, he has still finished no worse than T24, making the cut in all six of his PGA TOUR appearances and posting three top-10 finishes. He leads this week's field in Total Strokes Gained and Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green per round over the last three months and ranks third in Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green, which is important this week with all the run-off areas.

We've seen Scottie be so dominant when he's at his best that picking him to return to form and win this week makes sense. You will have to fill in the rest of your roster with value plays to afford him, but if he finds his stride, he'll be worth his hefty price tag.

Brooks Koepka ($9.6K)

Koepka was the player consultant for the most recent renovation to Memorial Park, so he should know the course extremely well, even though he hasn't played this event since 2021. Koepka finished T5 when he played this track in 2020, but he missed the cut in 2021.

He returns to Houston with strong form, though, and looks to be finding his top form as he settles back into the PGA TOUR after spending time with LIV Golf. Koepka has played five events this season, and he made the cut in three straight tournaments in the Florida Swing, posting a season's best T9 at PGA National, a T13 at TPC Sawgrass, and a T18 last week at the Valspar.

Koepka really looked sharp in the second round last week, going low with a 67 on Friday. He was especially sharp with his iron play, and he leads the field this week in Strokes Gained: Approach over the last 20 rounds. He ranks third in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green over that span as well, and if his putter gets going even just a little bit, he could be right in the mix on Sunday.

Underdogs -- Two Mid-range Picks

Ryan Gerard ($8.4K)

Gerard cooled off a little bit after a torrid start to the season, but after taking last week off, he's a strong play as he returns to Memorial Park, where he notched a top-10 finish last year.

Gerard finished runner-up in the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open at the end of 2025 on the DP World Tour and then started the PGA TOUR season with back-to-back runner-up finishes at the Sony Open and The American Express. He slowed down a little at Pebble Beach with a T45 and missed the cut at Bay Hill. However, he still had top-30 finishes at The Genesis Invitational, the Cognizant Classic, and THE PLAYERS Championship in his most recent start.

In THE PLAYERS, he ranked in the top 10 in Birdies and the top 11 in Greens in Regulation. However, he had a few rough holes that led to bogeys that slid him down the leaderboard.

Over the last three months, he ranks fourth in the field in Strokes Gained: Approach and fifth in Total Strokes Gained.

The 26-year-old from North Carolina claimed his breakthrough win on the PGA TOUR last season at the Barracuda Championship and posted four top-10 finishes in his 29 events. One of those top 10s was at the Texas Children's Houston Open, when he finished ninth after a strong 65-65-68-68.

The fact that he's cooled off a little bit should keep him from being too popular at this price, but he has the well-rounded game necessary to compete at Memorial Park.

Tony Finau ($7.6K)

It's been a while for Finau, but the 36-year-old veteran has looked much better in his last few tournaments. After a down 2025 with just one top-10 finish in 20 events and no top-25 finishes after the end of May, Finau has shown signs of returning to form in 2026.

He started the year with back-to-back missed cuts but then popped for a T11 at the Farmers Insurance Open and another top-20 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. After making the cut at THE PLAYERS, he had a solid week in Tampa last week, posting a 69-69-71-71 to finish T18.

Finau ranks in the top 10 in this field in Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green over the last three months, and he gained over one stroke per round both on approach and around the green last week at the Valspar.

In addition to showing glimpses of his stronger form, Finau also brings a great course history at Memorial Park Golf Course, where he won in 2022 and finished runner-up in 2024 before posting a T32 last year with four rounds of 70 or better.

Junkyard Dogs -- Top Value Picks

Ryan Fox ($7.4K)

I had a lot of Fox stock two weeks ago when he burned his fantasy owners with a late withdrawal due to illness. It's hard to fault him, though, since he needed surgical removal of kidney stones. We'll give him a pass for that, especially since the 39-year-old from New Zealand brings so much upside coming to Houston.

Fox finished T15 last year in his second trip to the event after he made the cut and finished T78 in his course debut in 2024. He started the week 68-68-65, but then he had four bogeys on Sunday for a 71. He will return to action this week with much better form than he had coming into that tournament, though, and he's won two PGA TOUR events in the last year as well.

This year, Fox started on the DP World Tour, finishing T27 and T45 in the two events in Dubai. He then moved to the PGA TOUR and posted top-25 finishes in each of his first four events. He had a T24 at the WM Phoenix Open, a T24 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and a T24 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational--talk about consistency! The only time he didn't finish T24 was his T7 at The Genesis Invitational, his best showing of the year.

If Fox is fully recovered and ready to pick up where he left off, he should be a great value option in Houston with a high floor and a high ceiling under $7.5K.

Chandler Blanchet ($6,800) 

I had Blanchet in my value plays last week, and he delivered with a strong T18 at the Valspar, even though he did fade over the weekend. Just making the cut was a good step for the 30-year-old PGA TOUR rookie, who had lots of success on the Korn Ferry Tour last year but missed the cut in his first five events of the season.

Blanchet turned things around in Puerto Rico, though, opening with a 64-67 that had him right near the top of the leaderboard. He struggled on Saturday before bouncing back on Sunday and finishing solo second behind Ricky Castillo.

The Puerto Rico event was an alternate field event the same week as the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but last week, Blanchet brought his success to the main stage and started the week 69-66 before fading again on the weekend. His T18 was still a strong finish, though, and gives him momentum to build on this week in Houston.

Blanchet shone as a shotmaker on the Korn Ferry Tour last year, winning the Price Cutter Charity Championship and the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship as part of his six top-10 finishes. He ranked sixth in driving accuracy percentage and second in greens in regulation percentage on that tour last season. He'll be making his debut at Memorial Park, but he has enough momentum to be a strong flier play.
