Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin informed the team on Tuesday that he is stepping down after a historic 19-year run with the organization, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Steelers will now be searching for only their fourth head coach since 1969. The 53-year-old had an extremely successful run as the Steelers' head coach, which included a Super Bowl championship at the end of the 2008 season. He never had a losing season in his 19 years with the team, but fans had been growing impatient with Tomlin's lack of recent playoff success, which continued in Monday night's Wild-Card loss to the Houston Texans. Because of his success in the last two decades, Tomlin should have no problem finding another head-coaching job if that's what he's searching for. In addition to needing a new head coach, the Steelers could be looking for a new quarterback as well if Aaron Rodgers decides to retire.--Keith Hernandez
