Justin Gaethje Becomes the New Interim-Lightweight Champion

Justin Gathje became the new interim lightweight champion by defeating former Cage Warriors champion Paddy Pimblett via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 324 on Saturday. Gathje also made history by becoming the first fighter to win the interim title twice. "The Highlight" pushed the pace the whole fight, and most people thought Gathje won three or four rounds out of five. In 25 minutes of action, Gaethje landed three takedowns and 144 significant strikes with 5:55 of control time. Now, for the 10th time in his UFC career, Gaethje captured the Fight of the Night award.--Alen Kurbasic
