NFL DFS RB and WR Anchors for Week 6 (Premium Content)

DFS ANCHORS - ROTOBALLER NFL PREMIUM STOCK IMAGE

"Thunder" Dan Palyo of RotoBaller.com provides his top fantasy football running backs and wide receivers to anchor for DFS lineups for Week 6 of the fantasy football season.

All other Premium Tools and Content can be accessed on the premium dashboard.

This piece looks at the top running backs or wide receivers to build your cash or tournament lineups around. Most weeks, I will recommend two running backs and two wide receivers who you can use as building blocks, but occasionally, a tight end sneaks in here, too.

Ensure you're thoroughly informed before you start building your lineups for FanDuel or DraftKings by checking out the rest of RotoBaller's top-notch Premium DFS research and analysis.

RBs and WRs to Build Around - Week 6

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to our premium DFS coverage of the NFL! Each week, my team and I try to give you every possible edge that we can when you build your DFS lineups for Sunday's main slate.

Week 5 Review

Gibbs-Taylor-ARSB-Wilson

Gibbs over Achane worked out okay, but the Lions' feeding Monty in the second half was annoying. St. Brown was outscored by JSN, who I liked a ton but used mainly in GPPs.

Week 6 Strategy

Lots of options at running back this week, but Puka Nacua is an absolute must-play receiver and the top overall play on the slate (again, surprise). I think CMC is more of a must-play on DK than FanDuel, which is why I am recommending Jacobs as the main FD anchor at RB.

DFS Anchors - Running Backs

Christian McCaffrey (SF) at TB

The Niners continue to feed CMC touches and have been able to pull off some impressive wins by riding his dual-threat ability. George Kittle remains out, and with both Ricky Pearsall and Juan Jennings missing last week's game against the Rams, CMC handled 22 carries and was targeted 9 times in the passing game. It was the fifth game in a row that he had at least 7 targets, and he's hit double digits in targets in three games

Despite his low rushing totals, McCaffrey has been able to score 22 or more DK points in every game. The PPR scoring format on DK creates a situation where McCaffrey is overvalued, and we have no real choice but to squeeze him in, especially when the Bucs have an elite run defense that forces teams to throw to the backs and receivers.

Looking at McCaffrey's props, he's at 55.5 rushing yards and 45.5 receiving yards, with a receptions line of 6.5. That means his median outcome this week is being projected around 100 scrimmage yards and 6 receptions, which is 16 DK points. I think he's a good bet for 20+, and his floor on DK is so much higher than any other backs. He's the goal line back, too, and we know that he will be in the mix for targets and carries down inside the Red Zone.

Josh Jacobs (GB) vs. CIN

Jacobs is my preferred play on FanDuel, where he is $800 cheaper than McCaffrey. On FanDuel, we care less about receptions and more about touchdowns. Jacobs has -235 odds to score a touchdown this week as the Packers are massive -14 point favorites at home.

Jacobs should run over this Bengals defense that has failed to stop opposing run games now four weeks in a row. Last week it was Gibbs and Montgomery who combined for 119 yards on the ground against them after the Denver duo of Harvey and Dobbins went for 159.

Everything should be going in Jacobs' favor here as he's a big home favorite with the potential for a very favorable game script. He's done some solid work out of the backfield lately, took, catching 9 passes for 115 yards over the last two weeks. He will be the main focal point on offense again this week and is a big threat to pile up big yardage totals and score multiple touchdowns. I would be very nervous making a FD lineup without him in it.

Honorable Mention: Kyren Williams at Baltimore, Javonte Williams @ Carolina

DFS Anchors - Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

Puka Nacua (DET) at CIN

I am not sure what else there is to say about Puka. He has been an absolute force this year and has no shown no sign of slowing down. He has 10+ catches in all but one game, making him a PPR-monster. The last two weeks, he's caught a TD pass, too, and in Week 4 his 39 DK points nuked the slate.

Now, what if I told you the Ravens' pass defense is statistically one of the worst on the entire slate? They let a pretty mediocre Houston offense score over 40 points last week as the Texans ran and passed their way up and down the field all game.

His price is getting up there, but there's just no way we fade him in cash games this week. He's been so good, so efficient, and has such an incredibly great matchup that he should (rightfully) be the most highly rostered player on the slate.

I love the idea of playing some Kyren Williams on DK this week (he's way too cheap), but that doesn't mean you should fade Nacua in tournaments. He could still very easily break the slate.

Tetairoa McMillan (CAR) vs. DAL

Last week, Garrett Wilson and the Jets struggled early against Dallas, but after falling behind big in the third quarter, he was still easily able to make value thanks to garbage time yards and a late touchdown.

I am not saying that the Panthers will suffer a similar fate against the Cowboys this week. They are just 3-point underdogs at home and pulled off a win against Miami last week. But even if they do, the recipe for second-half production is there for Tet and Bryce Yound as the Dallas defense was happy to let the Jets move the ball at will in the fourth quarter.

Dallas has been the matchup to attack with wide receivers this year. They rank dead last in DVOA pass defense and have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Tet has a healthy 23% target share and is averaging 70 yards per game on nearly five catches. He's been targeted nearly nine times a game and is the unquestioned WR1 in this offense. He's my top WR in the mid-tier this week, without question.

Honorable Mention: TIGHT ENDS! Tyler Warren vs. Arizona AND Jake Ferguson at Carolina.

Good luck to everyone in your contests! Don't forget that you can chat with me and other NFL analysts in our new premium RotoBaller DISCORD at any point during the week or hit me up on X @ThunderDanDFS.
