Derrick Lewis Suffers Second-Round TKO Loss
Former heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewis suffered a second-round TKO loss to Waldo Cortes-Acosta on the main card of UFC 324 on Saturday. Lewis had trouble closing the distance, and he couldn't land a strike significant enough to hurt his opponent as Cortes-Acosta used his footwork to stay away from "The Black Beast". In the second round, the former title challenger got hit with a jab that dropped him, and Cortes-Acosta then followed up with ground and pound, finishing Lewis. In 8:14 of action, Lewis landed eight significant strikes. With the loss, Lewis dropped to 20-11 in the UFC.
