Michigan NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes

Chase Briscoe - NASCAR DFS Lineup Picks, NASCAR Betting Picks

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2025 FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Chase Briscoe was fastest in the session.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday morning in preparation for the upcoming FireKeepers Casino 400 on Sunday afternoon.

The 36-car field was split in to two groups for practice, with each group getting 25 minutes on track.

Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Shane van Gisbergen - Near the end of the first group's session, Shane van Gisbergen came to a crawl on the apron. The No. 88 Chevrolet blew a left rear tire and he was trying not to damage the vehicle by going slow around the track. There were no major issues reported with SVG.

Carson Hocevar - The announcer booth got a little worried about Carson Hocevar being slow on track during the middle of the second group's session. They thought he had an issue, but the No. 77 team reported that Hocevar was just lacking rear grip and didn't like the feel of the car.

Ryan Blaney - Another car that had a tire issue during practice was the No. 12 Ford of Ryan Blaney. It appears he blew a left front tire (not rear, which is a little weird) and had to get towed back to the garage, although the car didn't hit the wall or anything.

Tyler Reddick - The No. 45 Toyota of Tyler Reddick also had a flat left rear tire in practice. Like the others, he did not hit the wall or anything, so minimal damage.
