Ollie Gordon II Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 20% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues

Before the start of the regular season, Miami Dolphins rookie running back Ollie Gordon II saw his stock rise as an intriguing late-round sleeper as De'Von Achane was dealing with a calf injury. However, Achane did not miss any time during the start of the season and has remained a strong RB1 in all formats.

Despite this, Gordon enjoyed the first productive game of his young career on Thursday evening and is emerging as a top handcuff to stash. In Weeks 1 and 2, Gordon totaled just 18 total offensive yards and ran the ball only three times for 12 yards. He saw only one target in each game.

During this two-game stretch, Achane dominated the backfield, seeing 72% and 9% of the total snaps, respectively.

However, during their Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills, Gordon logged 14 offensive snaps and took nine carries for 38 yards and a touchdown. This was the most involved Gordon has ever been in a game this season. Even though Achane once again dominated the snaps and opportunities, seeing Gordon push for double-digit carries is an excellent sign for his rest-of-season outlook.

Despite holding mid-end RB4 value as a standalone option, Gordon carries high upside as a handcuff for Achane. If he were to miss time, Gordon should take over the Miami backfield, as Jaylen Wright is the team's clear No. 3 option and has only seen 2% of the team's total snaps this season.

Gordon is worth targeting in all 12-team formats this week.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 5% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues

After being a healthy scratch in the first two games of the regular season, Chris Rodriguez Jr. made his season debut in Week 3. Rodriguez was able to draw into the starting lineup with Austin Ekeler (Achilles) sidelined due to a season-ending injury. During his debut, Rodriguez did not disappoint.

The power back was immediately put in a surprisingly prominent role in the backfield, taking 11 carries for 39 yards. Among Washington running backs, Rodriguez tied rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt for a team-hgh 39% snap share. However, Rodriguez was given the most attempts as Croskey-Merritt logged eight carries and Jeremy McNichols saw four.

While it appears Rodriguez will be in a committee in the Washington backfield, seeing him immediately lead the team in carries is a positive sign. Croskey-Merritt should remain the team's starter, but Rodriguez should be able to match him in attempts weekly.

Seeing him lead the team in carries in his debut makes him a strong target in all 12-team leagues.

Woody Marks Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 10% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues

The final running back we will look at in this piece is rookie Woody Marks. Marks opened the season as the team's No. 3 running back, sitting behind veteran Nick Chubb and Dare Ogunbowale. Through the first two games of the season, Marks saw just six combined carries and only logged 20 total offensive snaps.

During this stretch, the fourth-round rookie saw 12% and 28% of the team's receiving RB snaps while Chubb and Ogunbowale did most of the heavy lifting.

However, in Week 3, Marks began to rise in the depth chart. In their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Marks saw a season-high 49% snap share while Ogunbowale was demoted to a special teams role. More importantly, in this game, Marks saw six attempts for 27 yards while Chubb logged only nine attempts for 38 yards.

Seeing Marks only log nearly 50% of the snaps, which almost matches the presumed starter's attempts, suggests he is inching closer to claiming the lead role. While Chubb should remain the starter in Week 4, this could be close to a committee in the near future.

As a result, Marks should be viewed as a priority stash candidate in all 12-team standard formats heading into Week 4 as he is nearing the top spot on the depth chart.
