Vicente Luque suffered a second-round submission loss to Kevin Holland on the UFC 316 main card opener on Saturday. Luque was outclassed in this fight and almost got finished in the first round after Holland's flurry of punches and elbows. In the second round, Luque threw a low kick, but Holland caught his kick and took Luque down, submitting him moments after with a d'arce choke. In 6:03 of action, Luque landed 24 significant strikes.
