On Saturday, heavyweight prospect Mario Pinto extended his win streak by defeating Jhonata Diniz via second-round TKO on the main card of UFC Rio. Pinto had a dominant performance, repeatedly taking Diniz down and maintaining dominant positions throughout the fight. The ending sequence occurred in the second round after Pinto, who had established top control, was punishing Diniz with ground-and-pound, and after Diniz faced increasing damage, leading to the referee's stoppage. In 9:10 of action, Pinto landed three takedowns and 29 significant strikes.--Alen Kurbasic
