Kimani Vidal Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 50% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in all leagues
Entering their contest against the Miami Dolphins, the Chargers were without top running backs Najee Harris (Achilles) and rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) as both were on the IR. Managers likely stashed Hassan Haskins leading up to his contest, as reports suggested the Chargers were to lean on the former Michigan product with both top options sidelined.
However, in this contest, Haskins operated as a change-of-pace option while second-year RB Vidal dominated the workload. Vidal took 18 carries for 124 yards and caught three of his four targets for 14 yards and a touchdown.
In this game, Vidal dominated the workload, logging 67% of the snaps. Haskins saw only 31% of the snaps and took just six carries.
With Hampton's injury now trending to be longer than the four-week minimum stay on the IR, Vidal could operate as the No. 1 RB in Los Angeles for the next month. Given his elite upside he flashed on Sunday, Vidal should be viewed as a top waiver wire target this weekend.
Even though he faces a tougher Indianapolis Colts defense next weekend, which has allowed the eighth-fewest points to RBs this season, Vidal carries RB2 upside in this matchup, given his projected workload.

Bam Knight Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 30% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12-team leagues
The Cardinals are another backfield that has been decimated by injuries through the opening month. Starter James Conner (foot) suffered a season-ending injury, and the "new" starting option, Trey Benson (knee), was recently placed on the IR. As a result, Michael Carter, Emari Demercado, and Knight have been given increased opportunities.
In Week 5, Carter dominated the backfield, logging 18 carries for 51 yards and a score. However, shortly before kickoff on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the Cardinals would instead give Knight the lead role and move Carter to the No. 2 spot.

In their loss to the Colts on Sunday, Knight took 11 carries for 34 yards and a touchdown and caught one of his two targets for 20 yards. Carter took only nine attempts for 34 yards but was more involved in the passing game and caught two of his five targets for 30 yards.
While Knight was given the slight edge in carries, this appears to be trending toward a split committee. While Knight does not possess the highest upside as Vidal does, he should still lead the Arizona backfield for the foreseeable future until Benson returns.
He is worth adding in all 12-team leagues and is viewed as a low-end FLEX play in Week 7.

Woody Marks Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 75% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in all leagues
The final running back we will analyze in this piece was off in Week 6. However, Marks has seen his role gradually increase in Houston and could emerge as a league-winner down the stretch.
After taking just 12 attempts in the first three games of his NFL career, Marks enjoyed a breakout game in Week 4 when he was given 17 attempts and was targeted five times. In this victory over Tennessee, Marks tallied 69 yards and a score on the ground and added 50 yards and a second touchdown through the air.
Unfortunately, in Week 5, Mark took the backseat to veteran Nick Chubb once again, as he saw only seven attempts. While his workload was lower in the box score, he logged 39% of the snaps compared to Chubb's 34%.
Seeing the Texans continue to increase Marks' participation in the opening month is an excellent sign of his rest-of-season value. Given Chubb's inability to produce as a pass-catcher, Marks should maintain a safe floor in PPR formats. In addition, if Chubb were to miss time, Marks could take on a three-down role in the Houston offense.
He should be viewed as a top running back to target on the waiver wire, where available. Chubb will limit Mark's ceiling on a weekly basis, but his upside would be immense if he were to take over the starting job.
