Pittsburgh Pirates' top pitching prospect, Bubba Chandler, has looked quite comfortable since making his Triple-A debut last season. The right-hander has continued to impress and has proven he is ready to get the call to the big leagues.
Given his elite production, fantasy managers should expect the right-hander to not only reach the majors in the coming weeks but also be poised to make an impact at the level.

Bubba Chandler Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
Chandler took a slight step back in his most recent outing but remains a high-priority stash option. On June 5, the right-hander tossed just two innings of work against Memphis. In this outing, he allowed three runs in a single start for the second time this season and only struck out one batter.
However, in his previous start on May 30, Chandler had one of his best outings of the season, tossing five shutout frames with four hits and eight punchouts.

Through 50 2/3 innings at Triple-A this season, the former third-round pick has posted a 2.49 ERA with a 1.13 WHIP. During this stint, Chandler has struck out an impressive 70 batters and allowed 22 free passes. He has struck out at least eight batters in four of his 12 starts.
Bubba Chandler Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
During his first taste of Triple-A last season, Chandler looked just as comfortable posting a 1.83 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP across 39 1/3 innings of work.
Through 85 1/3 career frames at the Double-A level, Chandler struck out 102 batters while holding a 3.48 ERA and a stellar 0.96 WHIP.
Currently, Mike Burrows holds the No. 5 spot in the starting rotation. In his first two starts, Burrows struggled as he allowed eight runs, but was able to bounce back on June 4, tossing 5 1/3 shutout frames against the Astros.
Even though Burrows appears to be finding his footing, Chandler is a must-stash option as he will be viewed as a high-end starting pitcher in all leagues as soon as he gets the call to Pittsburgh.
