Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is coming off back-to-back 100-yard efforts, with a touchdown in both games as well. The 24-year-old is averaging over 10 targets and six catches per contest, with Week 7 bringing a matchup with the 49ers on Sunday night. The San Francisco defense has allowed the 18th-most half-point fantasy PPR points thus far, but has been much more susceptible to the pass in recent weeks with the losses of Nick Bosa (knee) and Fred Warner (ankle).
Fellow wideout Darnell Mooney (hanstring) is questionable for this game, but if active, his presence should not diminish London's role, which is the unquestioned No. 1 receiver with a whopping 32.9 percent target share in 2025. The 6-foot-4 wide receiver's heavy usage on a weekly basis consistently puts him in the WR1 range, and he'll be a mid-range WR1 again versus the 49ers.
Michael Penix Jr., QB, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is coming off two consecutive solid performances and will take on the 49ers on the road in San Francisco on Sunday night. The 49ers are middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing QBs this year, and middle of the pack in terms of both passing (214.3) and rushing yards (107.3) on the season, however, San Francisco has allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game over the last three weeks (266.7).
This is, of course, largely attributable to the absence of Nick Bosa (knee) and Fred Warner (ankle), who will both be out on Sunday as well (and for the rest of the season). While that bodes well for the Penix, the lefty QB could again be without Darnell Mooney (hamstring) who did not practice on Friday after getting in two limited sessions earlier in the week.
All in all, the 25-year-old projects as a low-end QB2 on Sunday night with high-end QB2 upside with all the other offensive talent on this team at his disposal.
Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ribs, ankle, shoulder) practiced in full on Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation heading into Sunday night's game against the Falcons. The 28-year-old has been banged up all year. Unfortunately, he hasn't looked the best, catching only 10 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown. Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (calf) won't be available.
However, the 49ers will get George Kittle (hamstring) back after being on the shelf since the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks. With a recent uptick in production from Kendrick Bourne and Kittle's return, Jennings may not be the safest fantasy option in Week 7 versus a tough Falcons defense.
Kendrick Bourne, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has shone as of late. Although the wideout still hasn't scored a touchdown, he's certainly made up for it by combining for 15 catches (20 targets) for 284 yards in his last two appearances. With Brock Purdy (toe) still out, Mac Jones should continue to look in his direction in Week 7 versus a potent Falcons defense.
While George Kittle (hamstring) will make his return after getting injured in the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks, Bourne could continue to get more attention than Jauan Jennings (ankle, rib, shoulder), who had only one catch in the recent loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that in mind, Bourne has done enough to earn a spot in any fantasy lineup despite a challenging matchup on tap.
Mac Jones, QB, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones (knee, oblique) will be under center in the Week 7 matchup versus Atlanta. With Brock Purdy (toe) still working his way back, Jones will get a chance to make amends for his two-interception showing in the recent loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To be fair, the 27-year-old has played well enough throughout the 2025 campaign, tossing for 1,252 yards, six touchdowns, and three picks while completing 67.3% of his attempts. Unfortunately, the 49ers will be without Ricky Pearsall (knee).
However, Jones will still have Christian McCaffrey, Kendrick Bourne, and Jauan Jennings in his arsenal. George Kittle (hamstring) will also make his return after being sidelined since the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks. All things considered, the signal-caller may not be the safest fantasy option in single-quarterback setups against an improved Falcons defense.
Still, with Sunday's contest anticipated to be one of the highest-scoring games on the Week 7 schedule, Jones can realistically be utilized by those participating in Superflex formats.
