No. 10 - Jet Greaves, Columbus Blue Jackets
Jet Greaves is coming off two disappointing showings, but remains at the bottom of our list. Over his last two games (in losses to the Bruins and Hurricanes), Greaves stopped just 62 of the 69 shots he saw (.899% SV%) en route to picking up a 0-1-1 record. However, before this brief skid, Greaves was the backbone of the hottest team in the league.
From March 3 through March 29, Greaves posted a 6-2-1 record while carrying a strong .915% SV% and a 2.13 GAA. Overall, the 25-year-old has had a strong first full season in the NHL, posting a 24-15-9 record with two shutouts and a .909% SV%.
Even though he is in a slump, the netminder boasts elite underlying metrics and should bounce back over the final two weeks of the season. According to MoneyPuck.com, Greaves sits sixth at the position in Goals Saved Above Expected (19.3), putting him in the elite class of the position. The netminder has also earned a 3.12 WAR, also the sixth highest at his position.
No. 9 - Igor Shesterkin, New York Rangers
While the Rangers are in the basement of the Eastern Conference, their franchise netminder has turned in another strong campaign. Even though he missed nearly a month of action, Shesterkin has appeared in 47 games ansd and held a 24-16-6 record. The Russian netminder has posted a strong 2.52 GAA with a .912% SV%, despite playing behind one of the worst teams in the sport.
Over his last 10 games, Shesterkin has won just six but has played at an elite level, boasting a .917% SV%.
Even though his win total remains low, his underlying metrics show that Shesterkin has once again played at a Vezina-class level in 2025. This season, Shesterkin has earned the fourth-highest WAR at his position (according to MoneyPuck.com) and tallied the fourth-most Goals Saved Above Expected (22.4).
No. 8 - Filip Gustavsson, Minnesota Wild
Gustavsson had a bit of a slow start to the season, but has since taken full control over the Minnesota crease. Over his first 12 outings, the Swedish netminder would carry a modest 4-7-1 record with a .896% SV%. However, over his next 34 games, Gustavsson has since posted a strong .913% SV%, 2.35 GAA, and a 22-6-5 record.
Among netminders during this stretch (as of November 11), Gustavsson sits third in terms of SV%, trailing only Scott Wedgewood of the Avalanche and Joel Hofer of the St. Louis Blues. While his production over his last five games (3.45 GAA, .865% SV%) has pushed him down our rankings, he still deserves to be just outside the top group of netminders.
Under the hood, Gustavsson has tallied the 15th-most Goals Saved Above Expected (5.9). Additionally, his four shutouts tie him for the third most in the sport, trailing only Hofer and Ilya Sorokin.
No. 7 - Brandon Bussi, Carolina Hurricanes
Brandon Bussi has seen his level of play take a slight dip in March, but he remains in the heart of Vezina conversations. Since March 1, the "rookie" netminder has posted a modest 3.31 GAA with a .859% SV% while holding a 4-3 record. However, before this rough skid, Bussi posted an incredible 11-1 record over his last 12 games while posting a .909% SV% and a 2.09 GAA.
Playing in front of one of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference, Bussi has been asked to make just 1,548 saves on unblocked shot attempts, which trails only his teammate Frederik Andersen among netminders who have played at least 30 games this season. As a result, the 27-year-old has saved just 3.5 Goals Saved Above Expected (one of the lowest marks on this list).
While his underlying metrics are not among the elite class of names on this list, his high win total and strong face-value statistics should keep him within the top seven of Vezina voting.
No. 6 - Scott Wedgewood, Colorado Avalanche
Both Colorado netminders have played at a high level this season but have typically alternated the crease. However, if one were to earn Vezina votes, I'd give the edge to Wedgewood. Wedgewood has played in just 40 games, which is one of the lower marks on this list, but his performance is worthy of a spot.
During this stint, the former 84th overall selection has posted an impressive 27-5-2 record with a 2.18 GAA and a .917% SV%. Playing behind one of the most dominant regular-season teams in some time does help his record, but he has stepped up when asked to.
He has posted two shutouts this season and has allowed more than two goals just once since the start of March. During this eight-game stretch, Wedgewood has dropped just one contest in regulation while holding a near-perfect 1.70 GAA and a .925% SV%.
Per MoneyPuck.com, Wedgewood has saved the seventh-most Goals Above Expected (16.4) but sits fourth in terms of Percentage of Expected Goals Saved Above Average.

No. 5 - John Gibson, Detroit Red Wings
For most of the winter, John Gibson was viewed as the near-consensus No. 3 Vezina candidate, sitting behind the top-2 names on our list. From December 2 through March 8, Gibson was playing at a near-MVP level, posting a 20-6-1 record (over 28 games) with a 2.02 GAA and a .926% SV%. During this nearly three-month stretch, Gibson was tied alongside Karel Vejmelka for the most wins in the sport.
Gibson also sat at the top of the leaderboard in SV% and tied Sorokin with four shutouts. However, since this dominant surge, Gibson has regressed to his early-season form, which has significantly limited his access to taking home the extra hardware.
From March 9 through March 31, Gibson has posted a hefty 3.09 GAA with a low .889% SV%. He won just three of the 10 games during this stretch and dropped six of them in regulation, which has also pushed Detroit out of the current playoff picture.
Per MoneyPuck.com, the 32-year-old has saved 10.3 Goals Saved Above Expected, putting him eighth among goaltenders.
No. 4 - Logan Thompson, Washington Capitals
While Washington's playoff hopes are nearly holding on by a thread, Logan Thompson has been doing much of the heavy lifting to keep these chances even in play. The 29-year-old took on a career workload in 2025-26 and has not disappointed. Over 53 games, Thompson has posted a 27-20-6 record with two shutouts, a 2.46 GAA, and a .912% SV%.
Since March 14 (the last eight games), Thompson has dropped only one game in relation while carrying a 5-1-2 record, which has brought this club back into the Wild Card race.
Overall, the 29-year-old has been elite based on his advanced metrics, which suggest his breakout season was well earned. According to MoneyPuck.com, the Calgary native has tallied the second-highest Goals Saved Above Expected (28.2), which trails Sorokin by only 1.5.
He also sits second in WAR at the position with 4.71, putting him alongside just three goaltenders with a WAR above 4.00 (Sorokin and Jeremy Swayman).
No. 3 - Jeremy Swayman, Boston Bruins
Swayman will kick off the top three. He has been among the sport's best netminders, especially since the beginning of March. Since March 1, Swayman has posted an 8-2-1 record with a .925% SV% and a 2.15 GAA. During this stretch, Swayman has allowed more than three goals in one game and allowed one or fewer in four.
Additionally, this dominant stretch has all but sealed Boston's ticket to the postseason. Among goalies who have played in double-digit games in March, Swayman's SV% places him second at the position, only .002% behind Jakub Dobes'.
Overall, Swayman holds a 30-15-14 record with a .907% SV% and a 2.73 GAA. Under the hood, the 27-year-old sits third in Goals Saved Above Expected (28.0) and holds a WAR above 4.00, placing him alongside Thompson and Sorokin.
Even if he is unable to move to the top of this list by the end of the season, Swayman has turned in a massive resurgent season, compared to the rough 3.11 GAA and .897% SV% he posted in 2024.

No. 2 - Ilya Sorokin, New York Islanders
The top-2 names have been the clear front-runners for the majority of the 2025-26 season. Sitting in the current runner-up spot will be Sorokin. Sorokin appeared to be gaining the edge over Andrei Vasilevskiy, but he has had a rough skid over the last week.
Over his last two outings, facing the Penguins and Sabres, Sorokin stopped just 51 of the 61 shots he saw en route to posting a hefty 5.67 GAA, which has put New York's playoff pursuit in danger.
This was the second time in the month he surrendered six or more goals in a single game since March 1. While he played a high of 13 games in March, Sorokin has carried an overall .897% SV% with a 2.96 GAA. This is a stark increase over the stellar .923% SV% and 2.32 he held over his previous 13 games dating back to January 6.
His recent slump has hindered his chances, but his overall underlying metrics remain among the best in the sport. Per MoneyPuck.com, the 30-year-old has tallied 29.7 Goals Saved Above Expected, which is 1.5 more than the No. 2 netminder (Thompson). His 4.94 WAR also leads the position.
No. 1 - Andrei Vasilevskiy, Tampa Bay Lightning
As a result, Vasilevskiy will take the top spot on our list. Vasilevskiy has gone through a bit of a skid himself, but has begun to turn the corner at the perfect time. Over his last seven games, Vasilevskiy has posted a 5-1-1 record with a 2.43 GAA. In his last two outings, Vasilevskiy has surrendered just two goals in each and held a dominant .918% SV%.
Overall, the Big Cat sits with a 2.32 GAA, .911% SV%, and a 35-13-4 record. His win total currently stands as the highest mark in the sport, while his SV% places him second just behind Wedgewood among netminders who have played in at least 40 games.
Under the hood, Vasilevskiy sits fifth in Goals Saved Above Expected and High Danger Unblocked Shot Attempt SV% Above Expected, according to MoneyPuck.com.
