Week 5 Waiver Wire Pickups - Sean Tucker, Jalen Coker, Kareem Hunt Fantasy Football Outlooks

Sean Tucker - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Draft Sleepers, Draft Rankings

Week 5 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Sean Tucker, Jalen Coker, Kareem Hunt in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.

Injuries have begun to hit fantasy football. Over the past two weeks, managers have seen several high-end players suffer serious injuries, including Malik Nabers (knee), CeeDee Lamb (ankle), and James Conner (foot).

As a result, several lower-end players have begun to carve out more prominent roles and could become league-winning options.

So, should you pick up Tucker, Coker, and Hunt in your fantasy football leagues for Week 5 of 2025? Let's dive in.

Sean Tucker Week 5 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 10% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-team leagues

On Wednesday afternoon, top running back Bucky Irving (foot) was seen with crutches and a boot, suggesting his status for Week 5 is up in the air. While the Buccaneers did not officially rule Irving out for this weekend's contest against the Seattle Seahawks, it appears he is in serious danger of missing it.

As a result, Sean Tucker's role could grow. While Rachaad White has typically operated as the team's No. 2 RB this season, White has struggled at times when in the lead role.

Last season, White was very inefficient as a ball handler, which paved the way for Irving to take over the lead role. In 2024, White posted a modest 4.3 YPC. In 2023, he held an even lower 3.6 YPC. While he has shown slightly more upside in 2025 (4.7 YPC), his production is likely to decline with more opportunities.

Tucker has taken just one attempt this season, but was every effective when called on last season. In 2024, Tucker logged 50 carries for an impressive 308 yards and two touchdowns. He posted an elite 6.2 YPC and totaled two runs for greater than 20 yards.

Given the high-octane nature of the Tampa Bay offense, Tucker carries high-upside stash value heading into Week 5. If Irving were to sit out, he could easily carve out a prominent role behind White.

Jalen Coker Week 5 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 20% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues

Jalen Coker saw his draft stock begin to climb late in the offseason when he appeared ot earn the No. 2 role in the offense. However, Coker would suffer a quadriceps injury shortly before Week 1 and would eventually be placed on the injured reserve.

As a result, Coker has been sidelined throughout the entire season but is nearing a return. He is eligible to return this weekend, but does not appear to be in a position to meet this deadline.

Despite this, managers should still look to stash the second-year wideout head of his eventual activation. This season, the Panthers have lacked any production in their WR room, outside of Tetairoa McMillan. McMillan has tallied 278 yards in his first four NFL games, while veteran Hunter Renfrow has tallied only 75.

In addition, Xavier Legette caught only four of his 15 targets through the first two games before hitting the shelf with a hamstring injury. Top tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) is also week-to-week with an injury, which could open up more targets for Coker.

While Bryce Young has struggled at times, Coker has a clear path to emerge as the complementary option to McMillan in the offense. He could carry high-end FLEX value on a weekly basis if he could secure the No. 2 WR role, as he was expected to do so.

Kareem Hunt Week 5 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 45% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in all 12-team leagues

The final player we will take a look at is more widely rostered but is in a strict committee role. Through the first four games, the Chiefs have opted to nearly split the workload in their backfield between Isiah Pacheco and Hunt. As a result, both have their respective ceilings have been very limited. Through four games, Hunt has tallied just 6.5 PPR points per game.

However, over the past two weeks, Hunt has begun to carve out a slight edge in workload. In Weeks 3 and 4, the veteran has taken 10 and 13 rushing attempts, respectively, which is higher than Pacheco's 10 and seven.

While neither workload will carry RB2 value for fantasy, it appears the Chiefs are looking to involve Hunt slightly more in their game plan than Pacheco. However, Pacheco has been more effective in his workload, posting a 4.0 YPC while Hunt holds a modest 3.2 YPC.

Despite his lower ceiling, Hunt's floor is worth rostering in all 12-team leagues. If Pacheco were to miss time or face a setback related to his fractured fibula, which he suffered last season, he could reach low-end RB2 territory, simply on volume.

While he should not be started on a weekly basis, he is a fine running back to hold on your bench as he could provide stable production if needed as a bye-week replacement later in the campaign.
