Week 10 and the beginning of June are here, and the catcher position still looks as strong as ever for fantasy baseball. Whether you need a long-term option or a one-week streamer, the waiver wire is filled with exciting catcher options.
It's not only for shallow leagues either, as there are plenty of backstops who are less than 30% rostered and could be due for a huge performance in week 10.
Below, we’ll take a look at catcher fantasy baseball waiver wire adds for Week 10 of the season — June 2 to June 8. There are recommendations for shallow leagues (30-49 percent rostered) and deep leagues (0-29 percent rostered). Additionally, there's one player who is worth keeping an eye on for very deep leagues who could become fantasy-relevant pretty soon.

Fantasy Baseball Catcher Waiver Wire Pickups for Shallow Leagues
Gabriel Moreno, Arizona Diamondbacks (37% rostered)
Gabriel Moreno is once again featured here for the same reasons he was last week. He’s simply been one of the best offensive catchers in baseball over the past month. Heading into Friday, he has been the third most valuable catcher in the past 30 days, batting .324 with four home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs, and one stolen base. He isn’t showing any signs of slowing down either, with a .353 average over the past seven days.
He still hits the ball on the ground too often to fully take advantage of his 88th-percentile 92.5 mph average exit velocity, but any power he provides is just a bonus when he’s hitting for such a good average. The 25-year-old is looking like the version of himself that slashed .325/.418/.439 in the final 36 games of 2024, and he is a must-start catcher when he’s on one of these heaters.
He may even have the opportunity to knock out some home runs in week 10 when he’ll head to Great American Ballpark for three games, which is a much more hitter-friendly environment than his usual stadium. He’s a better streaming player than Hunter Goodman, Austin Wells, and Carson Kelly, who are all rostered in more leagues.
Agustin Ramirez, Miami Marlins (36% rostered)
Agustin Ramirez continues to produce and continues to be available in way too many leagues. He went from 34 percent rostered in last week’s edition of this article to 36 percent now, despite putting up yet another productive week.
Over the past seven games heading into Friday, he was batting .321 with one home run, five RBI, and five runs. Most of that production came on Wednesday when he went 4-for-5 with his seventh home run of the year.
Agustín Ramírez had four hits and hit his 7th HR yesterday.

It’s going to sound like a broken record, but let’s once again point out that Ramirez plays almost every single day thanks to his time as the designated hitter, and bats first or second in the lineup. The 23-year-old will have such an advantage just from his sheer number of plate appearances alone, not to mention the elite tools he has shown off so far.
Miami's matchups aren't intimidating in week 10, as they start off the week with a three-game series against Colorado. While it's not at Coors Field, facing German Marquez, Tanner Gordon, and Kyle Freeland should lead to a boost in offensive production anyway. The young phenom should be viewed as a top-10 catcher the rest of the way and should be well above 50% rostered.
Fantasy Baseball Catcher Waiver Wire Pickups for Deeper Leagues
Dillon Dingler, Detroit Tigers (6% rostered)
The return of Jake Rogers put a question mark on Dillon Dingler’s future playing time, but the 26-year-old has remained the clear number-one backstop for the Tigers. Since Rogers returned on May 20th, Dingler has only sat out in three contests, which is consistent with the work most full-time catchers see.

His power output had slowed down, with his last homer coming on May 1st, but he was still batting .364 over the previous two weeks heading into Friday. However, the slugger snapped out of his power drought Friday night with a 3-for-3 performance, including a home run.
He’s a nice streaming option for two-catcher leagues in week 10, with Detroit getting a full seven-game schedule. They get four games in Chicago against the White Sox and three at home against the Cubs, where they’ll face pitchers such as Jonathan Cannon, Sean Burke, Davis Martin, and Ben Brown.
Tyler Stephenson, Cincinnati Reds (29% rostered)
Tyler Stephenson has been red-hot at the plate, hitting his fourth home run of the season on Friday against the Cubs. It was his third homer in his past four games, and he also has two three-hit games in that span. His slash line is up to .244/.337/.462 as he gets back into things after a slow start to the year.
He should be able to keep up his hot streak in week 10, as the Reds play all six of their games at home in hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark. They will have to face a couple of tough pitchers between the Brewers and Diamondbacks, but they’ll also get some lay-ups against Aaron Civale, Quinn Priester, and Eduardo Rodriguez.
Fantasy Baseball Catchers Waiver Wire Watch List
David Fry, Cleveland Guardians (5% rostered)
David Fry is an interesting option to keep an eye on for extremely deep leagues. He recently progressed his rehab stint to Triple-A, where he continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery.
While the recovery timeline for the surgery is quicker for hitters than pitchers, he’s not expected to be able to play the field at all in 2025. That limits him to being a DH-only player, although he could be ready to man first base at some point later in the year.
The Guardians already have Kyle Manzardo and Carlos Santana manning those two spots, which would leave Fry to mainly be a platoon bat against left-handed pitchers and a pinch-hit bat off the bench in games he doesn’t start. Still, in 15-team leagues where you start two catchers, he would most likely be a top-30 option at the position even with limited playing time.
He was very productive in 2024, batting .263 with 14 home runs in 122 games. The 29-year-old crushed lefties specifically, slashing .287/.430/.566 with nine of his 14 homers against them in 165 plate appearances. Even if he only plays half of the time, he should be able to produce enough if he is still that good against left-handed pitchers.
