Top 300 Fantasy Baseball Rankings - Nick Mariano's Rest-of-Season Outlooks: Bryce Miller, Mitch Keller, Ezequiel Tovar, More

Ezequiel Tovar - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Nick's updated top 300 fantasy baseball rankings for roto as of Week 7 (May 13, 2023). His rest-of-season rankings and projections for hitters and pitchers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Week 7 is here, and 20% of the MLB season is in the books. It's time for another rankings check-in. Below is another edition of Nick Mariano's updated 2023 fantasy baseball rankings and tiers for roto leagues (5x5 mixed leagues) as of May 13, 2023. These rankings are being released in May and are looking at rest-of-season fantasy baseball rankings and player values for the rest of this MLB season from this point forward. There are many interesting story lines we are following closely, all baked into these updated rankings.

We have seen some top pitching prospects, such as Mason MillerTanner BibeeBryce Miller, and Logan Allen, promoted to the big leagues and contribute for fantasy managers immediately. Although some pitching prospects have had rough debuts, such as Luis L. Ortiz, Brandon Pfaadt, and Gavin Stone, who might need more seasoning in the minors.

The Miami Marlins' top pitching prospect, Eury Perez, will make his debut on Friday against the Reds. Injuries continue to pile up, especially for pitchers, as Tyler Glasnow (oblique) is still dealing with oblique tightness, Max Fried (forearm) is out for two months, and Max Scherzer (neck) missed his last start because his neck was still spasming.

Chicago White Sox reliever Liam Hendriks (illness) will make his triumphant return soon after recovering from Stage 4 non-Hodgkins lymphoma. The 34-year-old is now cancer-free and is expected to be activated from the injured list once he completes his rehab assignment in Triple-A Charlotte.

Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller surprisingly has been one of the best pitchers in baseball and continues to impress this season. The 27-year-old owns a 4-1 record with a 2.72 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 56:14 K: BB across 49 2/3 innings in 2023.

Some players are off to a terrific start, while some have struggled mightily to start the year. Which of these starts do we take seriously, and which do we put less stock into? Is it time to elevate our expectations on certain players and elevate touted prospects into a higher tier for fantasy baseball leagues? How much patience must we show for highly-touted players who have struggled out of the gate, especially veterans with proven track records?

Hopefully, the rankings below will give you some perspective on our thoughts on these topics and help you assess the strength of your rosters going forward. Let's see where players such as Josh Jung, Sean Murphy, Nick Castellanos, Matt Mervis, Ezequiel Tovar, Mitch Keller, Tanner Bibee, Bryce Miller, Alex Cobb, and Anthony DeSclafani rank, all of who are off to interesting starts in 2023.

Top 300 Fantasy Baseball Rankings - Week 7 Update

These rankings will be updated every week throughout the season, so some of these situations are very fluid. It's not panic time yet, and we may not be ready to elevate hot-starting players into the elite yet either, but it's certainly a good checkpoint for the long fantasy season.
