Wan’Dale Robinson 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Added Competition For Targets Could Hurt Fantasy Value
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) is coming off a rookie season that saw him catch 23 passes for 227 yards and one touchdown in six games. The 5-foot-8 wideout was starting to build a connection with quarterback Daniel Jones before suffering a torn ACL in Week 11. He had three double-digit fantasy performances and a career-high nine catches for 100 yards in Week 11 against the Lions. But with Robinson coming off a significant knee injury, he might have a different initial burst early in 2023. The 22-year-old is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the 2023 season. The Giants also added more weapons for Jones this offseason. New York signed wide receivers Parris Campbell and Jamison Crowder to one-year deals, traded up in the third round to select Jalin Hyatt in the 2023 NFL Draft, and traded for tight end Darren Waller. The Giants already had Isaiah Hodgins, Sterling Shepard, and Darius Slayton on their roster. Robinson will compete for targets on a run-first offense, which could spell trouble for his 2023 fantasy value. There's a chance, though, that he runs away as the top target option for Jones, given his talent. He's ranked 116th overall on RotoBaller and has WR3 upside in his second season.
