Delanie Walker 2018 Outlook: Reliable TE1 Delivering Excellent Value
6 years agoWalker is the only tight end who has finished as a top five scorer in PPR leagues during each of the past three seasons (TE4/TE5/TE2), and the 12-year veteran has also surpassed 100+ targets and 800+ yards during each of the last four years. His 111 targets trailed only Travis Kelce and Evan Engram last season, while the 74 receptions that he assembled also placed him third at his position. Walker will operate as the clear TE1 within a resuscitated Tennessee attack that will no longer be compromised by the lack of imagination that existed under the exotic smashmouth philosophy. Other Titan receiving options will also benefit from the revamped offensive approach, as Jonnu Smith (30) and Rishard Matthews (87) could exceed last year's target totals, and the number for Corey Davis almost assuredly will rise (65). Still Walker should lead the Titans in multiple receiving categories, remains entrenched among the second tier of tight ends, and provides excellent value at his seventh round ADP.
