Chris Hogan 2018 Player Outlook: Veteran Could Emerge As No. 1 Option
6 years agoIn 2017, New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan was well on his way to a career year before an injury cost him seven games. The 29-year-old still finished the season with 34 catches for 439 yards and five touchdowns, often outshining former (and more well-known) teammate Brandin Cooks along the way. Hogan has a chance to make a huge impact in 2018 with Cooks now a Los Angeles Ram and Julian Edelman suspended for the first four games of the season. Hogan will open the year as the team's clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver and he is versatile enough to retain a large role in the offense even after Edelman comes back. Playing a major role in one of the league's premier offenses, Hogan is a safe bet to return fantasy value in 2018.
