Welcome back to our top starting pitcher fantasy baseball prospects to stash for Week 8 of the 2025 MLB season. This week, we saw Zebby Matthews of the Minnesota Twins finally get the call to the big leagues.

In this piece, we will take a look at Bubba Chandler, Andrew Painter, and a budding star in the Tampa Bay system.

Below are the top pitching prospects to stash leading up to Week 8 of the 2025 MLB season.

Bubba Chandler, Pittsburgh Pirates

Currently At Triple-A
20% rostered

After allowing three runs against Triple-A Columbus on May 7, Chandler bounced back in a big way this past week. On May 13, the right-hander had a fantastic outing as he tossed five shutout innings against Louisville. Chandler struck out eight batters and allowed four hits and three walks.

Removing his start from May 7, Chandler has posted a stellar 1.19 ERA with a 0.79 WHIP across 30 1/3 innings of work. Across this stint, he has tallied 44 punchouts, served up just 10 free passes, and allowed just one home run.

The 22-year-old also enjoyed similar success during his first taste of Triple-A last season, posting a 1.83 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP across 39 1/3 innings of work.

Fantasy managers should continue to view Chandler as a high-upside stash target in all formats. He is flashing elite talent that would be viewed as a must-start player once he reaches the major leagues.

Andrew Painter, Philadelphia Phillies

Currently At Triple-A

Andrew Painter made his long-awaited Triple-A debut on May 8 against the Worcester Red Sox. In this start, the former 13th overall pick tossed three innings of one-hit ball. He struck out five and served up three walks. However, he only logged 60 pitches of work.

In his most recent outing on May 15, facing Triple-A Syracuse, Painter was able to bump his pitch count to 71. Facing the Mets, the right-hander logged five innings of two-run ball. He struck out three and allowed five hits and two walks. While Painter was not the most efficient in this start, it is promising to see him hit the five-inning mark in his second start at the level.

Painter was able to pitch in the Arizona Fall League but was held out of action during spring training. Painter began the regular season with Low-A Clearwater, where he logged 11 1/3 innings to the tune of a 3.97 ERA and a strong 0.97 WHIP.

Given his steady progression, Painter could be in the mix to reach Philadelphia by next month.

Ian Seymour, Tampa Bay Rays

Currently At Triple-A

Ian Seymour has flashed immense strikeout upside through the opening month at Triple-A. Through his first 41 1/3 innings of work, the left-hander has struck out an impressive 55 batters while holding a 1.96 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. During this stretch, he has served up just 10 walks. However, he has struggled to keep the ball in the yard, allowing five total home runs.

Across the opening month, Seymour has struck out at least eight batters in all but three of his eight outings.

This is also work, noting that Seymour has improved compared to his production at Triple-A last season. In 2024, Seymour made his Triple-A debut and posted a solid 2.33 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP across 54 innings. He tallied 63 strikeouts but served up 19 free passes.

However, given Zack Littell's recent turnaround, Seymour may have to wait for an injury to earn a spot in the majors. After posting a high 5.48 ERA across his first four starts of the season, Littell has held a 3.45 ERA with a 1.02 WHIP over his last 31 1/3 innings.

Even though he may have to continue developing at Triple-A, his strikeout upside warrants consideration in deeper AL-only leagues.

Jacob Misiorowski, Milwaukee Brewers

Currently at Triple-A

There may not be a pitcher on this list who has improved this much over the past few weeks of action. Jacob Misiorowski began the season holding a modest 21:12 K:BB over his first 18 2/3 innings of work. During this stretch, the Brewers even began to shift Misiorowski to the bullpen, which suggested he was still several months away from his MLB debut.

However, the right-hander has performed like the top pitcher at the Triple-A level over his last five starts. In his last 30 2/3 innings of work, Misiorowski has pitched to a near-perfect 0.59 ERA and a 0.72 WHIP. During this stretch, the former second-round pick has served up just seven walks and struck out 38 batters.

Currently, the Milwaukee Brewers' rotation is decimated with injuries. Jose Quintana (shoulder), Aaron Civale (hamstring),  Nestor Cortes (elbow), and Brandon Woodruff (ankle) are all on the injured list. While Civale and Woodruff are nearing a return, there will still be several opportunities for Misiorowski to make an impact at the MLB level.

Noah Cameron, Kansas City Royals

Currently At Triple-A

The final prospect to consider stashing is Noah Cameron of the Kansas City Royals. Unlike the others on this list, Cameron is more of an add than a stash. Cameron made his MLB debut earlier this season and looked quite comfortable in the majors, tossing six 1/3 innings of one-hit ball against the Tampa Bay Rays. In this outing, Cameron held a 3:5 K:BB.

Cameron has also been performing quite well at Triple-A. Through 32 2/3 innings of work, Cameron has posted a solid 3.31 ERA with a 1.13 WHIP. He has struck out 38 batters and has occasionally struggled with command, holding a 3.6 BB/9.

With Alec Marsh (shoulder) and Kyle Wright (shoulder) on the injured list and showing minimal progress in their return, Cameron sat comfortably as the next man up in Kansas City. Currently, the No. 5 starter, Michael Lorenzen, has found success at times, holding a 3.19 ERA over his last 31 innings. However, his 4.04 xERA suggests he should be in line to face some regression.

Earlier in the weekend, both Cole Ragans (groin) and Seth Lugo (finger) were placed on the 15-day injured list, which paved the way for Cameron to receive a spot start on Saturday. In this outing, Cameron tossed six 1/3 innings of one-run ball against the Cardinals.

Given Cameron's promising start to his MLB career and the injuries in Kansas City, he should have a permanent role in the starting rotation going forward. Cameron is worth targeting in all standard formats as he has shown a strong upside during his first taste in the big leagues. If he continues this current production, he could stick in the rotation through the remainder of the summer.
