2025 Superflex Fantasy Football QB Sleepers: Best Late-Round Quarterbacks to Target

Caleb Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Top 2025 fantasy football sleeper QBs for Superflex leagues. Target and draft these late-round quarterbacks: Drake Maye, Caleb Wiiliams, J.J. McCarthy, and more.

It is never too early to start looking ahead to 2025 fantasy football drafts. Whether you are participating in best ball formats this early in the offseason or just curious how fantasy drafts will go next season, you have come to the right place. RotoBaller will have you covered all offseason to get you ready for the upcoming year.

In this article, we will look at the biggest sleepers at the quarterback position for next season. These quarterbacks might not have had the strongest fantasy numbers this past year, but they all have the potential to finish as a top-12 fantasy quarterback in 2025.

So, which five quarterbacks are sleepers to target in Superflex formats next season? Let's dive in and find out.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was not the best fantasy option in his first NFL season. After going as the QB12 in drafts last summer, Williams only managed to finish as the QB16 during the 2024-25 campaign. He was also a very inconsistent fantasy option throughout the year, as he finished outside the top 20 at the quarterback position in 10 of 17 games.

However, expect Williams to be a better fantasy option next season. The Bears went out and signed offensive guru Ben Johnson to be their next head coach, which should only help the young quarterback grow in Year 2. Johnson helped Jared Goff finish as a top-10 fantasy quarterback in three straight years. In addition, the Bears already have a solid receiving corps led by DJ Moore and Rome Odunze.

So, Williams should be in line to post better all-around numbers in 2025. Look for him to build off his 3,541-yard, 20-touchdown passing season while finishing as a QB1 in fantasy. He'll likely have a similar ADP as last year, but he should be in a better spot to finish as a top-8 fantasy quarterback in this new-look Bears offense.

Drake Maye, QB, New England Patriots

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye showed some encouraging things in his rookie season. He threw for 2,276 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions across 12 games. Maye was also a solid fantasy option for most of his rookie campaign, finishing with over 18 fantasy points in six of his 10 full starts.

Therefore, fantasy managers should expect the 22-year-old quarterback to leap in his second year. New England has the most money to spend in free agency, which means the team will likely upgrade the offensive line and wide receiver positions for 2025. Assuming the Patriots do upgrade those positions this offseason, Maye could be a low-end QB1 option for fantasy managers.

His ADP will likely adjust from now until your fantasy football drafts, but Maye has the upside to be a strong QB1 option in Year 2. He rushed for at least 25 yards in eight of his 12 games and finished with 421 rush yards on the year. That rushing potential should also play a big part in his fantasy value next year.

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys

It was another injury-riddled season for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in 2024. He appeared in just eight games after suffering a season-ending hamstring injury in Week 9. That season-ending injury marked the third time in five years that Prescott has appeared in 12 or fewer games in a season.

Despite the recent injuries, though, Prescott will still be a fantastic pick in fantasy drafts next season. He has finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback in five of the six seasons in which he has played at least 16 games and just finished as the QB3 behind a 4,516-yard, 36-touchdown campaign in 2023.

Of course, Prescott hasn't been able to stay healthy, but he's worth the risk in Superflex formats. If he can stay healthy, he has the potential to finish as a top-7 fantasy quarterback in 2025. The Cowboys are also planning on adding another weapon alongside CeeDee Lamb this offseason. That should only help the veteran be a more consistent fantasy option next year.

Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Since finishing as the QB8 in 2022, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has not been a strong fantasy option. He has finished outside the top 12 at the position in back-to-back years and only played in 10 games this past season due to a shoulder injury. However, Lawrence has every opportunity to be a solid option for fantasy managers in 2025.

For starters, Lawrence finally has that bona fide WR1 to throw to on offense. Brian Thomas Jr. was drafted with the 23rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and immediately emerged as the top wideout in Jacksonville. Thomas totaled 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first season. Having a talented weapon like that on offense should only help the quarterback with his season-long production.

The hiring of Liam Coen should also not go unnoticed. Coen was the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past season and will now call plays for this Jacksonville offense in 2025.

The new Jaguars coach just helped Baker Mayfield total career-highs in pass yards (4,500) and pass touchdowns (41). Therefore, Lawrence has sneaky bounce-back potential in fantasy next year.

J.J. McCarthy, QB, Minnesota Vikings

All signs point to Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy starting in 2025. McCarthy missed his entire rookie season after injuring his knee in the team's first preseason game. However, he should be Minnesota's starting quarterback next year, with Sam Darnold set to hit free agency. As a result, the 22-year-old might turn out to be a great pick in fantasy drafts.

After seeing what Darnold did in this Vikings offense a season ago, the sky is the limit for McCarthy. Darnold threw for 4,319 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions across 17 games while finishing as the QB9 in all fantasy formats. So, it's hard not to be excited about what the young quarterback can do in this offense next year.

McCarthy already has a talented wide receiver corps (Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison) and showed some great things in his only preseason appearance last season. Given that he will likely not go near the top of fantasy drafts, he is certainly a sleeper pick. The Michigan product has the upside to finish as a top-14 quarterback in 2025.
